Dream Collaborations Part 1

Entry Basis
Earlier this week, a friend and I were discussing some of our favorite musicians. The topic of our dream collaborations arose, and after sorting through my music binder and applying some thought to the situation, I came up with a list of artists who I would love to work with, if I had the pull in the music industry to do so.

Introduction
In today's generation, Music has become one of the most overlapping sources of entertainment available. There isn't such a thing as a defined genre anymore, due to the many creative collaborations introduced by some of today's most talented artists. They create masterpieces which brings a small amount of each genre and merge them together, so that there is something in their works that anyone can relate to, regardless of musical taste or preference. I for one am I lover of Hip-Hop/Rap as well as Rock, so my own personal vital point of genre-fusing came when I was introduced to Linkin Park's debut album "Hybrid Theory" back in 2000. The beautiful mixture of the their rock instrumentation, lead-singer Chester Bennington's diverse range of rock vocals, the content and delivery of Mike Shinoda's rapping, and the turntable mixing effects & sampling from Dj Joseph Hahn, supplied me with a new acceptance (and undeniable love) for the fusion of musical genres.

Before that turning point, I was always a "clear-cut" type of musical fan. My moods determined what type of music I would listen to at the given time. Rock was meant to be Rock, normally invoked by hard-hitting, edgy instruments, and lyrical content of the depressing or invigorating variety. As a Hip-Hop artist, I listened to Hip-Hop when I was in the poetic mood, feeding of off the energy of my biggest inspirations and influences, such as Fabolous, Eminem or Common. It was until I learned to love the "melting-pot" of musical genres that I became aware of my talents as a songwriter. I can in no way, shape or form use my voice to sing; I sound quite horrible but when I began writing songs I imagined some of my favorite Rock vocalists or Hip-Hop artists joining me, lending their talents to my creations. As this topic arose in my prior conversation with my friend, I went back to the drawing board and came up with an updated version of my influences, inspirations and just overall enjoyable artists in the industry (past & present) that I would love to work with.

Entry
As I mentioned before, I took time to look through many songs I've written, refresh my list of influences and inspirations, and come up with some dream collaborations that I'd love to achieve, if I had the industry pull to do so (a la Slash of Guns N Roses/Velvet Revolver/Just being a badass guitarist fame).

.1 Fefe Dobson
Song: Goodbye To Love
Anybody who knows me, knows that I am a DIE-HARD fan of Ms. Dobson. I have supported her career since I heard of her back in 2003. This would definitely be my first dream collaboration (as well as first true musician ~~crush~~ ~~obsession~~ love). I always felt such a vibrant energy from her music, as well as the content of her lyrics. I could see myself writing a fast-paced, kick-ass, in your face, pop/rock song for her to sing. Since she plays guitar, she could also help with putting input to how certain aspects of the song should sound. Her voice is awesome, one that draws you into a song, whether it's uptempo pop, or a slower soul/rock combination. I don't understand why the mainstream media doesn't show more support to a real artist like Fefe Dobson, but if I EVER had the chance to work with her, it would be a ~~match made in heaven~~ ~~wedding in Las Vegas~~ dream come true!

2. Tyson Ritter (lead vocalist of The All American Rejects)
Song: Nosedive (Broken-Heart Parachute)
Not only is Tyson Ritter an awesome soft-rock vocalist, he seems like a pretty cool dude to be around. I've always been a fan of The AAR, but I believe his voice is what put the band on the map in the first place. His vocals are the ideal type for alternative rock songs. He can get loud, without taking it to the screaming level, and his semi-nasally pitch harmonizes well with the uptempo pop-esque songs that The AAR are known for. I could definitely see him doing the chorus of my half-written song "Nosedive". He'd be so perfect for it!

3. Amy Lee (Evanescence) x Charles Hamilton
Song: Quote The Raven (Nevermore)
First off, the song "Nevermore" is a new idea of mine, melting Amy Lee's classically trained voice with the amazingly talented, thought provoking lyricism of Charles Hamilton. Secondly, this would be an amazing collaboration for all parties involved. The basic premise of this song is obviously about never doing a certain thing anymore, whether it be love the same person, a bad habit one has that they find hard to break, or something like that. Of course if I had a verse on this song, it would be about loving a woman that I'm never letting back into my romantic life. I already wrote the chorus for Amy Lee to sing, and as an avid listener of Charles Hamilton's music, I know he could come up with some pretty clever, witty lines about the subject as well. Hell C.H. has said in one of his songs that he "was Edgar Allen Poe in a past life", so this song should fit him perfectly anyway!

4. Craig David
Song: Whistle At Her
I'm more so a fan of "classic" Craig David, when he was soulful and original. His first two albums, "Born To Do It" (2000) & "Slicker Than Your Average" (2002), were on constant rotation in my iPod, before I damaged it and had to erase everything on it. I began writing a typically schemed hip-hop song titled "Whistle At Her" with Craig in mind for the chorus. His smooth, accented voice would be perfect for the slightly uptempo beat.

Wrestlemania 26 Predictions by S.Clark

This upcoming Sunday, March 28th, 2010 marks the 26th installment of WWE's most anticipated and most popular Pay-per-view event, Wrestlemania. Ever year, this PPV pushes the limit and reaches a higher pinnacle of wrestling entertainment. This year, I'm going to have the chance to watch it with the company of some good friends who enjoy wrestling as much as I do. I've been excited about this PPV ever since Edge made his return at, and won, the 2010 Royal Rumble back in January. Since then, the setup of the matches have been quite predictable, but the outcomes aren't so. So I want to give in my picks for the outcome of the matches of Wrestlemania XXVI.

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk
Now this match comes with the stipulation of Mysterio having to join the Straight Edge Society if he loses the match. Now Punk and the SES seems to remind me of Right To Censor from the Attitude Era. They beat down a bunch of people who didn't have much of a plot and then were forced to join. I can honestly see Mysterio losing this match, just to make the SES seem stronger than they really are. Neither one of these guys has anything to gain from this match, since they're both former title holders, and huge stars in the WWE. This may just be one of the earlier filler-type matches that kicks off the night with two major athletes showcasing their skills. I think the stipulation is an added bonus to add to a future storyline.
My Pick: CM Punk

Triple H vs. Sheamus
I'm actually excited for this match! It doesn't have any real backstory except for Sheamus getting eliminated by Triple H at the Chamber PPV, but ever since then Sheamus has been kicked Triple H's ass all over Monday Night Raw. I think that this will be another filler match, just to prepare Sheamus to be included in the "big leagues" of the WWE. I mean, he already has a title reign under his belt but I feel he still needs to be pushed to be "main-event" status. I believe that Triple H may lose this match because he's getting older, and WWE is trying to push younger talent right now since Micheals, Taker and HHH may be heading into retirement soon.
My Pick: Sheamus

Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase
This is probably the match I want to see the most, aside from Edge vs. Jericho. I wondered what match was going to involve Legacy, and I was shocked to see this as a triple threat match. I honestly believe this is going to begin the push of DiBiase as a singles competitor. I believe he'll be the one to defeat Orton, and then turn on Rhodes all in the same match. This will work like the attempted push for Kofi Kingston, except, this time DiBiase will use his fued with Orton for a SUCCESSFUL push.
My Pick: Ted DiBiase

ShoMiz(c) vs. John Morrison and R-Truth
Hmm... this one could go either way really. Morrison & Truth seem to be a tag team that the fans enjoy seeing, and quite personally so do I. I'm thinking that Morrison & Truth have the capability of pulling this off. I mean, it'll give them a pass to be on both Raw & Smackdown, and possibly giving some credibility back to the Tag-Team division. Besides, shouldn't Miz being defending his U.S. Championship against some new people anyway?!?
My Pick: John Morrison & R-Truth

Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon
I don't really care to see this match at all. Two old ass geezers trying to find some closure for something that was staged 13 years ago. I mean, if the WWE is all about the happy ending, then Bret will win. If not, then McMahon will win. Simple as that! I have to say that the audience probably will want to see Hart win this one, find closure and leave WWE. Personally, I'd like to see Hart stay around a while and be the new Raw GM, but it's only a dream lol!
My Pick: Bret Hart

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Participants: Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Kane, Shelton Benjamin, Jack Swagger, MVP, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Drew McIntyre & Kofi Kingston
I'm highly excited to see this match because instead of the regular 6 participants, the number has been increased to 10! I already know who isn't going to win: Evan Bourne, MVP, Matt Hardy, Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler & Kane. So let's talk about the others who have an actual shot. First up, Christian has the talent to win this match, but I doubt they'll let him go against Batista/Cena on RAW, so he'll probably take it to Smackdown and either take it from Edge or just wait a while to use it against whoever. Second, Benjamin is a superb athlete who was never given any true recognition in the WWE. If he pulls this off, I can see him going to Smackdown and going against the smaller heavyweights like Jericho, Edge, Mysterio & Punk. But don't be fooled, he can hold his own with the Undertaker which is quite an impressive feat! Third, Kofi has been getting pushed recently, but has fallen back a little. I say if he wins this, it'll be amazing and he'll probably challenge Orton sometime in the future. Finally, we all know Drew McIntyre is McMahon's right hand man. I honestly think he'll win this just because of that fact. He is pretty beast though, I'll give him that.
My Pick: Drew McIntyre, but Benjamin or Christian deserve it more!

Undertaker vs. Shawn Micheals
THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT! It's so unpredictable because of the stipulation. If Micheals wins, then he'll go down as the only man to ever beat Taker at WrestleMania. If Taker wins, then Micheals career is OVER!! This makes the match much more exciting knowing that both of these legends in the ring have everything to lose, yet everything to gain. I'm truly undecided about the outcome of this match though. I know after Mania, Micheals is going to take some time off like last year, but seeing the Undertaker in the ring and knowing that he's hurting with every match he continues to fight in, I'm really not sure how WWE is going to play this. Personally, I want Taker to win, and retire right there after the match with his perfect WrestleMania streak. Micheals will take time off, and then hopefully come back and manage for some up-and-comer with a heel attitude.
My Pick: Unsure (leaning more towards Undertaker)

Batista (c) vs. John Cena
Oh man, I'm just going to come out and say it! WWE dick-rides Cena and I'm glad to see him get his ass kicked every week on Raw for the past month. But as always, Cena will most likely overcome all odds and get the belt back, launching his merchandise sales above and beyond! I honestly want Batista to win, and continue to taunt Cena and have them rematch at the next PPV, but it's not likely to happen. The biggest star has to shine on the biggest stage, and unfortunately that will be Cena.
My Pick: John Cena

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge
This is the match I'm most wanting to see because I have no clue what's going to happen. Many people are thinking that Edge will win, and Christian will cash in MITB to take the belt from him, putting a spin on the Jericho/Edge feud. But I have to give Jericho his credit. I believe he can beat Edge and keep the feud going strong. Also, with news that Big Show may be heading to SmackDown, he may help Jericho retain the title, just to take it from him at a later date. There are so many possibilities with this match and it's outcome that I'm completely undecided on who is going to win.
My Pick: Undecided! This could go either way and still be entertaining!

Sit Through It: #1 - Cop Out

On March 20th, I embarked on a journey to sit through 100 movies in the year 2010. I started my journey with the movie "Cop Out" starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. Now at first I couldn't imagine these two together in a movie, but they made it work... barely! In all honesty, for a comedy, this was a little dry. Normally Tracy Morgan is a riot in anything he plays in, but even with his highly coonish comedic style, this movie didn't do it for me. I laughed maybe all of FOUR times throughout the whole movie. The plot was interesting due to it's creative twist on the "We both have something that belongs to each other", but it's still the same basic plot.

The character Dave (played by Sean William Scott) was probably the best part of the film. The couple of scenes he had with Willis and Morgan were pretty funny, I can't even lie about that. It was also good to see Guillermo Diaz, Adam Brody and Michelle Trachtenberg in any sort of film period!

Overall, this movie wasn't good. I'm glad I didn't have to pay to watch it. It had its very few moments of hilarity but other than that, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Can I Do It? # 1: Sit Through 100 Movies In A Year

So this idea was brought up by my friend and partner in Cineprov, Curtis. He said he thought of physically sitting in the theater and watching 100 movies this year alone. Now at first I thought it was wild, but because of my future and the area I wish to be involved in, I thought this would be a fun activity. Not only can I watch them, but I can also review them in my blog! This will help me develop not only a keen eye for movies, but a better use of journalism and summarizing for if I end up in that field. So this is my mission, and I choose to accept it...

Well after what can definitely be known as "The Worst Spring Break Ever", it's finally time for me to return to my regularly scheduled program of business. It'll be back to school, continuing to work, and doing some more Cineprov on Friday nights. Since I only have two classes as of right now, I'll be putting major focus into both of them, hoping to pull A's this semester. Work will always be work, and I'm going to continue to put effort into moving further up in the company.

This Spring Break has been full of disappointment, heartache and utter chaos, but there is one thing I'm thankful for... My friends! Megan came back down for the week and it was awesome hanging with her, talking of old times and catching up with our new lives over the finest green. I really missed her and I'm grateful I got the chance to hang out with her while she was here. She, as well as her family, has been nothing but good to me, and I'm truly appreciative for them.

I got to hang out a lot with Tristan & Gabriel this week. I got Tristan an interview with C-10, and he got the job! I'm truly proud of him! All i did was get him the interview, HE got himself the job! I hope he does well, and I know working with him is going to be fun, just as long as he doesn't slack off. I won't let that happen anyway! Gabriel even gave up some FF13 time to come support me at Cineprov this week, major kudos to him!

Of course my Infamous Brothers were there, and a surprise visit from A. Blessing made my night! I have to say it feels very good knowing that I have their support and camaraderie. I truly love each and every one of them! That's family right there! I can't wait to get this Vongola XII idea off the ground.

I've gotten a couple of new ideas for "Vol. 12" and I'm working hard on the project whenever I have the free time. It will be my best project yet! I have an updated tracklist which consists of 12 full songs and a bonus album with snippets, freestyles and revamped material.

Well gang, I'm heading to NY in a couple of hours for some much needed rest and relaxation... in the freezing cold lol! But it shall be a good time regardless. I'll get to see all of my family and friends while I'm there, people i've missed dearly who won't ever come visit me in the south lol! But it's all good!

Anyway, I also wanted to take the time out to say thank you to all who have supported the Klowd Nyne Project throughout the year. I know updates aren't as constant as other blogs, but being a busy man takes a lot out of you! But still, some came, some saw, some liked, some even subscribed! So thanks for making 2009 a pretty good year for S.Clark and the K9P! Let's make 2010 and even better one!

I want everyone to have a great, safe, healthy, happy holiday season! Hopefully I'll get some rest and can return to making this blog what I intend it to be... A REVOLUTION! lol! And don't forget "Vol. 12: The Amalgamation of S.Clark" is coming in 2010!!! As well as the collaboration album between K.B. and I titled "The Ladykillers", and the "Mr. Nasty Time" mixtape is probably still in progress, depends on how I feel about it lol!

Random Thoughts (Dec. 9th, 2009)

So I awaken to find out that the movie industry is basically full of stupidity and lacks pure creativity. Here is some movie news and my thoughts on them!

1. Fred: The Movie
Um... wtf?!? If anybody knows about this high-pitched voice, bowl haircut, crazy asshole, then you know we don't need a feature length film of his antics. I find this to be ridiculous on whoever is seriously thinking that this is a good idea. I mean, if you've seen his YouTube videos, albeit they're comical to an extent, you probably couldn't stomach the five minute shorts. How are you going to stomach 90 MINUTES OF IT? Ugh! I will chalk this one up as a blockbuster fail lol!

2. Spider Man 4 Villains Revealed
This is a major upset in my mind! The fact that they're even doing a fourth installment is headache enough, but to not give the fans what they want to see is an even bigger disappointment. I suggest that instead of continuing the same boring storyline with the same boring actors, they revamp the series, or pick top-notch villains for ultimo action sequences.

But anywho, the villains in Spider-Man 4 are.... The Vulture (played by John Malkovich) & The Vultress (played by Anne Hathaway)! You may be in total shock due to the extreme lameness factor of these villains, but at least we don't have to deal with Green Goblin anymore, right?!? But yes, if this were going to be a true continuation from the end of Spider-Man 3, the more obvious villain choices would have been The Lizard/Black Cat combo, but this is only the way I see it.

In my version of Spider-Man 4, I would have the Dr. Connor working on an antidote to the fragment of the Venom symbiote in his possession, so he can use it in conjunction with the alligator regeneration DNA to restore his missing arm. He would find a way to control it, but the alligator DNA would mess with his own, causing him to turn into The Lizard at some point in the movie. In turn, during his study, the Carnage symbiote would be "born" and escape, setting up for Carnage in a later installment. Also, I would have Black Cat, hired by Kingpin, attempting to steal the Venom symbiote fragment, and causing problems for Spidey's relationship with Mary Jane. Since Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) and Peter Parker (Spider-Man) would both be classmates in Dr. Connor's (The Lizard) course, then I feel like this could work. But that's just me!

3. Youth In Revolt
This is the only good thing I saw today! It's a movie starring Micheal Cera, in which he creates a split personality who is completely bad-ass! Check out the trailer for it! The writing is pure comedy! I can't wait to see this one!

Drake & Lil Wayne)" are currently on my heavy rotation playlist on my iPod. I like the songs he has been putting out, mostly due to the features, but I still enjoy them. Been A While! But I'm Back!

Wassup world! I know it's been a very long time since my last post, but school and work have kept me very busy! Now that it's finals week and school is winding down, I'll have more time to update on the things I want! In my opinion, Pain went off on this one! I even like Young Cash's verse too. I also like the Auto-Tune effect on the chorus and I really wish T-Pain had something to do with the original song, but this remix suffices for now!

Iyaz - Replay
I heard this song while I was driving home tonight, and I fell in love with it. People know I'm a big fan of the Auto-Tune effect, and this song is full of it in a good way! It's good, so just listen for yourself!

Once again, T-Pain comes through and does his thing on a remix! The entire song sounds better with a more uptempo beat and the addition of T-Pain and his Auto-Tune lol! Listen to it, download it, love it!

So, about twenty minutes ago, I was sitting outside just watching the storm, and this song just started entering my mind, as I watched the rain fall, and lightning crash. Now I've been watching a lot of JCTV (Jesus Christ TV) lately, and they have some pretty good music, especially from bands that I've heard of but never knew were Christian musical artists. I happened to see the video for "Go On" by Christian Hip-Hop Artist B. Reith. I really enjoyed the song, due to Reith's smooth lyrical delivery and his absence of normal, stereotypical hip-hop/rap content. He made this song just as a "feel-good" song, and I truly believe he achieved his goal. So take a look and tell me what you think!!!

So, I’m reading this article on the 'Hello Beautiful' site titled, 3 Reasons Why Women Cheat, and I have decided to give you women some advice based on what I have read:

Feeling Lonely in a Relationship

Ok, realize that men sometimes go through this as well so it’s not gender based when it comes to feeling lonely. The expectations placed on a man while in a relationship should be discussed as opposed to being expected, ESPECIALLY if your man happens to be popular or very driven when it comes to his career or work. If you are feeling lonely, it is up to you to include him in other activities that he may not normally be involved in where you wouldn’t feel so lonely. Also, keep in mind that, just like women, guys like to hang out with the fellas every now and then, so if your expectations are greater than he is willing to give, then you may have to resort to the infamous female support group! Otherwise, occupy your time with your passion and goals so that way when the two of you DO get up, the time together will be cherished even more while both of you are trying to achieve personal goals and dreams!

Feeling Taken for Granted

As stated above, men go through the motions when feeling like they are also taken for granted. But instead of focusing on the negative, focus on the positive and as with any relationship, whether work, play or friendship, this can be a task. But as with any task, there has to be common ground so that it can be completed to satisfaction! What most women tend to do is focus on their needs and themselves when having a conversation about ‘us’. You also need to be open to hearing and catering to his needs and wants as well so that way BOTH of you can be equally fulfilled! I hate to word it like this but, it has to be a mutually binding agreement so that way no one feels taken for granted, you give a little, I give a little and hopefully, we both benefit greatly!

You Are Leading Separate Lives

Well, as with anything in life, you grow, sometimes together, sometimes apart. It should be the focus of both partners to extend themselves to each other so that way both of you are still on the same page when it comes to a common bond which should be love. We can’t help who we are or who we become based on life experiences and what most women (and men!) don’t understand is that it is BECAUSE of you that he decides to take another direction in life, whether negative or positive. We should make each other stronger but at times, we tend to get weak out of being used to being with the one we are with, so we can and do get complacent. So, communication may be the most important tool in this situation so you can understand what the other is going through in order to want to stay in each others live! You can lead a separate, yet together life if both parties are getting what they want out of it, specifically on an emotional level. But you MUST discuss it with each other!

Revenge Can Be Bittersweet

This is definitely a hard thing for women and ESPECIALLY men! Since society accepts cheating men more than they accept cheating women, we, as men, are distraught when we find out that our woman has cheated, even if we were caught first. Hey, don’t blame us; society has made it acceptable for us to get away with cheating! Nonetheless, if it’s within a marriage, when you take your vows, you said for better or for worse, so you must remember that when you do find out as we, as men, have to think along the same lines. As far as a lover, I would say it should be based on what is transpiring in the relationship as to why the cheating was done and if it can be, not only forgiven, but placed aside for the good of the relationship.

The Ego Needs Stroking

As far as ego, I can safely say that the male ego is more robust than a woman’s ego, so we are at a disadvantage when it comes to that, especially if we are attractive or have a status or have money or have all three! Women are always eyeing us, trying to get our attention and with the slightest bit of neglect from you, make it easier to submit to the desires of a woman who is obviously trying to give us the goods. So, if anything, if our egos need stroking, guess what, something else of ours will get the stroking.

Fabolous - "Loso's Way" Review

I just recently got my hands on an advanced copy of Fabolous' new album Loso's Way. Fabolous has been one of my favorite rappers ever since his debut album Ghetto Fabolous and I was very excited about this new albums. Here is my take on this album.

At first listen, I must say that Fabolous hasn't "stepped his game up" too much. This album, in my opinion, is inferior to his last album From Nothin To Somethin. With the exception of such tracks as "My Time" featuring Jeremih & "Last Time" featuring Trey Songz, this album feels a little like listening to scrapped projects from previous albums and mixtapes. The whole concept of this album was to be based off the movie "Carlito's Way", just like how Jay-Z's "American Gangster" was. Apparently the deluxe version of Loso's Way comes with his own "movie" which mimics Fabolous' rise to power in a direct copy of "Carlito's Way" style. Here is my take on "Loso's Way" by Fabolous.

Analysis of Loso's Way
Track 1 - The Way (Intro) (prod. by StreetRunner)
This is the longest introduction to a rap album ever! It's 4 minutes and 10 seconds long. This honestly has nothing on the introduction to his previous album From Nothin To Somethin. Besides a few clever lines where he uses the alphabet to explain some aspects of women and his life, this song falls flat in my ears.

Track 2 - It's My Time featuring Jeremih (prod. by The Runners)
This is quite arguably the best song on this album, he made a smart move making this his lead single. Jeremih adds a great amount of attraction to this song with his semi-autotuned, highly addictive chorus. The instrumental isn't bad at all either. This is the kind of growth I was expecting from this album and from Fabolous. I guarantee this song will have you singing along and bobbing your heads if you're a true fan of Fabolous.

Track 3 - I'ma Do It featuring Kobe (prod. by DJ Khalil)
At first listen, this doesn't sound like a song Fab would partake in, but it gets better. His wordplay in this song hasn't been too impressive, and the chorus from this Kobe guy isn't really that good. It sounds like it should have just been ghostwritten by Fab and sold to some southern rapper like Young Jeezy or someone. Maybe if this was a Jeezy track featuring Fab, then it would probably work much better. I also don't understand the concept of this song... If there even is one..

Hmmm..... who is this girl "singing" in the background.... ugh! This sounds like a recycled Gucci Mane beat but Fab does it justice in his verses. This is a song that I would probably skip everytime I listen to the album though.

Track 5 - Everything, Everyday, Everywhere featuring Keri Hilson (prod. by Ryan Leslie)
This is my second favorite song on the album. Ryan Leslie did his thing creating this beat, and adding Keri Hilson to the chorus seems like a brilliant plan! Fabolous switches up his flow on this track which makes it stand out from the rest of the songs on this album. This is definitely a heavy hitter and should be released as his next single!

Track 6 - Throw It In the Bag featuring The-Dream (prod. by Tricky Stewart)
I'll have to say that I didn't really like this song when I first heard it, but The-Dream always tends to have a "grow on you" effect with his songs. I always tend to like Fab better when he has an R&B singer on his chorus, hooks and ad-libs. This song will grow on you, but shouldn't be a single in my opinion.

Track 7 - Money Goes, Honey Stay (When the Money Goes) featuring Jay-Z (prod. by Jermaine Dupri)
Now, I loved the original version of this song and felt that it should have been on Jay-Z's American Gangster album, but Fab's version is equipped with much better wordplay and more clever metaphors, which makes me love the song more. I would have loved to hear a new verse from Jay and maybe a guest appearance from up and coming Canadian rapper OB, who made his own remix as well.

Track 8 - Salute featuring Lil Wayne (prod. by Miguel for "The Council")
Hmm, I am confused by the beat of this song. I don't really know where to bob my head, but that much is expected on a song featuring Wayne. This is the normal "I'll shoot you up" song. It's not a bad song, but I don't see it getting radio play because of how wild the beat is. It sounds like a shelved Young Money song or something. Even Wayne's verse doesn't shine on this track.... (shrugs)

Track 9 - There He Go feat. Paul Cain, Red Cafe & Freck Billionaire (prod. by Blackout Movement)
There is always a "Street Fam" reunion track on a Fab album lol! This is said track. The beat is pretty good, and I always enjoy hearing Red Cafe spitting silliness on any track. This more so just a laid back track to vibe to, nothing too impressive, but cool for a Street Fam track.

Track 10 - The Fabolous Life feat. Ryan Leslie (prod. by Ryan Leslie)
At first listen, you can tell this is an R.Les production. Another laid back track which Fab spits about the "fabulous" life he lives. Ryan Leslie sounds good for this tracks chorus. Definitely a great song to just chill to. I give Fab props for his clever use of the "In Living Color" & "Wayans Bros." lines in his first verse.

Track 11 - Makin' Love feat. Ne-Yo (prod. by Jermaine Dupri)
I tend to enjoy a Dupri produced Fab track, like "Baby Don't Go" of his previous album, and this one is no different! I enjoy this song, Ne-Yo adds his smooth singing to the chorus and bridge, making it an instant hit. Maybe not a radio track, but definitely a great one on this album! I really hope the rumors of a Fab & Ne-Yo "Best of Both Worlds" album are true cause I know it would be great!

Track 12 - Last Time feat. Trey Songz (prod. by Jermaine Dupri)
Another smooth Dupri produced track. I swear, Fabolous does great things when he has an R&B cat singing on his track, adding more smoothness to his laid back rap style. Trey does his thing on this song, as usual, and his voice fits this beat perfectly. I love this track!

Track 13 - Pachanga (prod. by Sid V for "Duo Live")
...So I looked up the word "pachanga" and it means a "lively party", but since Fab's album is modeled after the movie Carlito's Way, it could refer to the character Pachanga, played by Luis Guzman, who would eventually betray Carlito in favor of working with Benny Blanco. After reading this, the track achieves a deeper meaning of friends who become your enemies and is actually very creative.

Track 14 - Lullaby (prod. by The Alchemist w/ scratches by Just Blaze)
An alright track about how Fab is putting the lame rappers to sleep, hence the title "Lullaby". The beat is awesome, and it fits Fab's style correctly.

Track 15 - Stay feat. Marsha Ambrosius (prod. by Syience)
Deep track about Fab being a new father, and how he will be a better father than his absent father was. I like it, Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry provides the chorus and bridge for this neo-soul type beat, which is pretty soothing, and has a sort of sad but strong vibe. Definitely one of the best tracks on this album!

Track 16 - I Miss My Love (prod. by Sean C & L.V.)
This track is a story about how Fabolous went back to being a hustler and selling cocaine. In the track he explains how it happened and the outcome of the situation. This is a direct correlation of the ending of "Carlito's Way", where Carlito is killed and he makes sure his pregnant woman escapes to live a new, better life.

OVERALL ANALYSIS
At SECOND listen, I definitely enjoy the album more than I dislike it. There will always be a couple of tracks on any album that take away from the overall greatness of it, and this album is no different, but once you sit and realize that this is a concept album based off the movie "Carlito's Way", you'll notice the massive talent that Fabolous has in telling this story in his own way and relating to his own life. This is such a vibing album, such as the movie was, and I have to give a great amount of credit for Fabolous not just putting out another record or partying and bullshit, but rather giving us his own interpretation of one of the greatest "Gangster" movies of all time! Listen to his words and it's like watching a full length feature film. There are some gems that shine more than others on this album, but that's to be expected.

My Birthday Passed?!? I Can Haz Cake?!?

So I never got around to telling ya'll about my birthday that happened on July 7th, 2009. As of that day I have officially become 23 years of age, a number that in my mind means nothing too important. I'm already legal enough to buy cigarettes, porno mags and alcohol. I went to Las Vegas with my mother for my 21st birthday, so I figured nothing can really top that. So on this day of my birth, I volunteered to go to work, because nothing is better than getting paid for being born lol! So I was a little upset because it felt like another boring day, UNTIL, my good friend/co-manager Megan and my friend/employee Jazz, surprised me with a cake made of cupcakes! They gathered all of the employees and sang happy birthday to me in the lobby, while there were customers around lol!

before I could get a picture of it!

I was very surprised because I honestly wasn't expecting it! They played me like a pawn on a chessboard, maneuvering me around so I wouldn't see them bringing the cake in, lighting the candles and bringing it out to the lobby. I was so shocked and I was going to cry because I didn't think they cared enough to do this for me. I still believe that some people only sang so they could get a cupcake, but it's all good. There were plenty to go around. So that night, I bought some beer, and I hung out at Megan's house and played some buzzed Singstar! The perfect way to top off any birthday lol!

The birthday surprises didn't stop there though! Since my Aunt Mooie (real name Denise) was in New York at the time of my birthday, she waited for when she got back to surprise me with an ice cream cake and like hella boxes of Skittles (cause I effing love Skittles). She also bought me a pretty nice orange dress shirt, with a brownish-orange tie, some brown slacks, and a orange-brown hoodie! I was shocked by this cause she locked me out the apartment when I was on my way back from doing laundry, and I wasn't expecting there to be any cake on the table when I got in, but there was!!! Man, the cake was so good! Chocolate on the bottom half, Vanilla on the top half, with crumbled Oreo cookies in the middle!

Yummy! And it has my name on it!

So overall, it was a pretty great birthday! Got some more shirts from my Mother, and $100 from my Grandma! It's all good with me, so I just wanted to publicly thank everyone who made my birthday a good one! All the people who wished me a Happy Birthday whether it was through calling, texting or on Facebook, thank you all!!

Well if you havem't been living under a rock for the past month, you know that Michael Jackson has passed away. Now some people, like myself, deal with grief by using laughter to get over things. Albeit, I do feel like the world has suffered a great loss in the demise of Jackson, we should also remember him not only for his music, but his complete and utter "coolness" that made him the greatest entertainer and humanitarian in the entire world!! What better way to pay homage to the "King of Pop" than to show him kicking MAJOR ASS in the original Super Mario Bros. game for the NES! Watch him take out a bunch of Goombas and make the game look way cooler! RIP JACKO!

Their members are Dominic Dierkes, Dan Eckman, Donald Glover, Meggie McFadden, and DC Pierson. Dom, Donald, and DC write and perform in the videos. Dan directs and edits them. Meggie produces them. As many of you know, I have been hard at work on my upcoming debut hip-hop album "The Raine Man Cometh". Recently I had to make some sudden changes to the album tracklist. After working on some new instrumentals, I found myself becoming more personal in my lyrics, as opposed to the normal, semi-ignorant, party-club album I had in mind. I figure for those types of tracks, i will save them for my mixtape "Flood Warning Vol. 1" to show off my skills as a rapper, but my actual album, "The Raine Man Cometh" will be more of a hip-hop, lyricist showcase about my personal thoughts and events that I needed to get off my chest.

Sorry for the recent lack of updates everyone! I've been very busy going to work all day, every day and preparing for my "homecoming" to New York on Tuesday night! I'm very excited to be going back home, I haven't been up there since December. I'm hoping this vacation gives me enough time to relax and create more music in a stress-free environment. It'll be a great trip, I can already feel it! My mother will be turning 50 years old in a week, and I'll be there to celebrate with her, which is awesome! She'll be having a "Casino Night" themed party, so expect to see some pictures of that in an upcoming post! Other than that I've just been busy working on some screenplays and scripts so that when I acquire my video camera, I'll be ready to get work done! Anyway, I'll try to post a bit more when I have some free time in New York, hopefully have some snippets of songs done to share with the public! Until then.....

Two Fabolous Video Premieres! "It's My Time" & "Throw It In The Bag"

Today one of my favorite "rappercists", Fabolous, premiered not one but TWO videos off his upcoming album entitled "Loso's Way". They were "It's My Time" which features new R&B singer Jeremih (Mr. Birthday Sex himself) and "Throw It In The Bag" featuring The-Dream. Fabolous is definitely a big influence in my attempt at creating Hip-Hop/Rap music. I look up to his smooth style, and his ability to not only make party songs such as his classics "It's My Party" & "Make Me Better", but also songs with deeper meanings such as "What Should I Do?". If you've been in jail, or living in a rock with no radio or television, then you already know Fabolous is from my hometown of Brooklyn, New York, another reason I look up to him! Now I'm feeling both of these songs, and I'm excited to hear what the rest of Fab's new album sounds like. "It's My Time" is just a hard track, and I'll probably record a song to that instrumental once I find it! "Throw It In The Bag" is a usual smooth Fabolous record featuring a crooning R&B artist, this time being The-Dream. The song sounds nice, and will definitely gain some heavy radio/video play! Am I excited much? HELLZ YES!

Ida Ljungqvist Named Playboy’s Playmate Of The Year 2009

I know I'm late but I still want to talk about this anyway! On May 2nd, 2009, Ida Ljungqvist made history by becoming Playboy Magazine's 50th Playmate Of The Year and the first African Playmate Of The Year. Ljungqvist was born in Tanzania to a Swedish father and a Tanzanian mother. She was discovered by 2007 POTY Sara Jean Underwood at a clothing boutique. She will be featured in the June 2009 issue of Playboy Magazine. Below is a video from Last Call With Carson Daly featuring Ms. Ljungqvist.

I honestly think this girl is a definite beauty (Does she remind anyone else of Jessica Alba?), but something about this seems too hyped up. I also learned while researching Ms. Ida, is that she is in the middle of a bitter divorce. Her ex-husband, Joshua R. Lang, claims not only that his wife engaged in sexual activity for money in the past, but also "destroyed two marriages" by having an affair with a married Ohio man, Doug E. Kantner. Crazy how all of these things come out to play once she gained quite a buzz, right? If she was still a nobody, would this information be relevant to publicly discuss? Parachute is a pop-rock band from Charlottesville, Virginia. Since their college graduation, Parachute has been touring with artists such as O.A.R., Switchfoot, Duffy, Matt Nathanson and Jon McLaughlin, as well as promoting their debut album "Losing Sleep", on the Mercury/Island Def Jam Music Group label. The video for their first single "She Is Love" is currently being played on VH1 and is gaining a lot of buzz.

To me, their album is truly a work of art. I enjoy every song on the album, which is usually a shocker to me, when I can do that. As for now, my favorite songs are the lead single "She Is Love", "She (For Liz)" & "Words Meet Heartbeats". I can tell that this band was influenced by pop-rock/soul bands before them, such as Maroon 5, Ben Folds & The Fray. Their second single "Under Control" sounds like it was deeply influenced by Maroon 5, but Parachute does such a wonderful job making it their own. This is definitely a great album for lovers of enjoyable soft-rock music. I'll definitely be supporting this band in their future endeavors! Go out and get a copy of their debut album "Losing Sleep" at your local music store or you can purchase it on iTunes.

Now I watched this video last night at around 2:00 A.M. and I almost cried laughing. This is probably how many of today's rappers are in their own home environment. I honestly believe this is more truth about today's generation of rap "artists", who mainly are frauds and only cash in on the already horribly influenced minds of the youth. This is the type of rapper that I aim NOT to be!! I wish to catch the attention of the people who enjoy good music infused with the emotion and honesty of the artist. I also wish to influence people to use their own minds and speak about what they know, rather than mimic what they hear!

.....Kris Allen?!?!? WTF?!?!? I voted for Adam Lambert, bitch!!!

Now, while I am highly upset that the "underdog" Kris Allen actually won the whole thing, there are a couple of upsides to Adam Lambert's unbelievable defeat.

1. Runner-up Idols often get a better contract and better promotion, especially if there are two males vying for the title. For instance, Ruben Studdard won Season 2, but runner-up Clay Aiken received way more acknowledgment overall. Maybe this was Idol's plan for Adam all along?!?

2. Adam will have more creative control over his upcoming album. Thankfully, he won't have to be forced to sing that horrible "No Boundaries" song that doesn't fit his style AT ALL!! I honestly believe that the writers of the song wrote this with Kris in mind, knowing Adam wouldn't sound right singing it. It's funny how they released an Adam Lambert version of the single anyway, which will keep Adam in the public eyesight. Lambert's studio version of the single sounds amazing though, just not his style!

3. America is in an uproar about Adam's loss, which puts an amazing amount of publicity in not only the two finalists, but American Idol itself. People will probably be talking about this all summer, especially since Jordin Sparks, Ruben Studdard, Chris Daughtry and other Idol alums will be releasing singles/albums this summer. The controversy will definitely help record sales for them all.... except Taylor Hicks... he just sucks...

Its funny how many people are upset about Kris winning/Adam losing. They all win in the long-run anyway. People are even referring this to Bush's presidential win and America was stupid for both voting events, hahah! Well I'll be tuning into Idol when it returns in January, just to see the talent, and to see if any of the contestants hold my interest like Mr. Adam Lambert.

American Idol Thoughts - May 13th Results

Alright, I'll make this short and sweet because I don't really care about this weeks performances that much. But after Paula's poor song choice in "Dance Little Sister" and a much better personal song choice of "You Are So Beautiful To Me", American Idol says goodbye to finalist hopeful, Danny Gokey. I truly find it wild that Kris Allen has made it to the finals against Adam Lambert, but this will actually make for an exciting finale this season. I'm somewhat afraid because Kris Allen could honestly have a shot at taking the whole prize, just so the producers can have a Jason Mraz clone under their belts, especially with summertime coming up. Both Lambert and Allen have a great, loyal and quite large fanbase, as shown when they followed each contestant to their hometowns this week. My vote is for Adam, but Taylor Hicks won in Season 5, so you never know what America will do this time around!

DANNY GOKEY IS ELIMINATED AT THIRD PLACE ON SEASON 8 OF AMERICAN IDOL

American Idol Thoughts - May 5th Performances & Results

Tonight's theme is "Rock" with special guest mentor & amazing bad-ass guitar shredder Slash (from Guns'N'Roses & Velvet Revolver)!! I think I may enjoy this week, and i especially am excited to see Adam & Allison shine tonight! Apparently the Idols are going to be doing duets tonight

1. Adam Lambert - "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin
This dude has the rocker look, and of course he has the vocal range to make it in the Rock and Roll genre. I'm starting to agree that he would be best suited for like Broadway or something though. He did kill that junk tonight though, the slow breakdown was awesome. Randy says he was a rockstar tonight and he should make a record with Slash. Kara says he is a rock god and he should be making classic/glam rock due to his amazing vocals. Paula says he is a whole lotta perfect. Simon says the performance was understated (jokingly) and it was one of his favorite performances but nobody can top that tonight now!

2. Allison Iraheta - "Crybaby" by Janis Joplin
Now, I will give this young lady credit, she is cute and has a crazy sense of style. The only thing I don't like is her raspy voice, and I doubt I would buy a CD full of her raspy voiced songs. She's doing a good job tonight, but she damn sure isn't topping Adam. Randy says she can sing, but he didn't love the song choice and it wasn't that great. Kara says Joplin is the right choice but a different song would have been better. Paula said she was great. Simon says he thought it was terrific vocals but she was trying to hard to stay true to the original vocals.

3. Duet #1: Kris Allen & Danny Gokey - "Renegade" by Styx
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. These two do a good job complimenting each other, but I wish they would have chosen another song. Gokey sounds alright with his power voice, and it definitely sounds good contrasting Allen's softer, Mraz-esque voice. They don't sound horrible, just not as good as they could possibly sound. Randy agrees that the harmonies were way better than the individual vocals. Kara feels the sum of the parts was better, united and strong. Paula said it was powerful and compelling. Simon says Danny was better than Kris.

4. Kris Allen - "Come Together" by The Beatles
He's got the guitar! He doesn't sound too bad, and I'm actually enjoying this. I'm sure the studio recorded version sounds much better though. Randy said he loved how he was confident but it could have sounded better. Kara said it wasn't a great performance. Paula said he made his imprint on this song, but he needs a little more energy. Simon said he didn't like it that much and compared it to "Eating ice for lunch".

5. Danny Gokey - "Dream On" by Aerosmith
I don't like how he starts songs with his lower octave cause it sucks. This performance is sucking to me, like hard! Ugh! his scream = epic fail! Randy said it was alright, but he gets A+ for valiant effort. Kara said that he chose the wrong song and that performance wasn't who he was. Paula agreed with Kara. Simon said his last note was watching a horror movie.

6. Duet #2: Adam Lambert & Allison Iraheta - "Slowride" by Foghat
Allison starts this off horribly and Adam doesn't do much of a better job. This song is not what I was expecting them to sing. Their voices don't seem to go together because Adam is singing in like Alto/Soprano & Allison is mad Baritone lol! It's too weird to see them on stage together, they look awkward even though they are rocking it out. The judges are praising them cause they're both rock gods.

ELIMINATION
ALLISON IRAHETA WAS ELIMINATED FROM SEASON 8 OF AMERICAN IDOL AT FOURTH PLACE!

It sucks that she got eliminated before Kris Allen did, but we all know this young, talented singer has a bright future ahead of her regardless of now winning. I'm a fan of what she can do, and hopefully she can find a place where she can use her style and talent to shine in the industry!

okay, I overslept and I wake up in the middle of Matt Giraud, Kris Allen and ADAM LAMBERT in the Bottom Three?? WTF??!? But after this, Seacrest sends Kris Allen back to saftey, leaving Matt & Adam in the bottom two..... I'm really upset, because if Adam goes home tonight, I'm going to stop watching Idol. But i'll be even more pissed that they saved Matt for no damn reason and he makes it past Adam, who should be in the finale, in my opinion.

American Idol Thoughts - April 28th Performances

Tonight's theme is "Jazz/Rat Pack" music and the special guest mentor is none other then Jamie Foxx! Haha! I don't really have high hopes for tonight's performances, but we'll see how it goes. In my mind I think Adam, Kris and Matt may have an upper hand against Allison and Danny but who knows?

1. Kris Allen - "The Way You Look Tonight"
He is doing a damn good job singing this song, this is definitely his strong suit and his voice was made for such songs! Way to go Kris!! Randy said this was his best performance to date! Kara said songs from this era gave him the opportunity to show his technical dealings and he did a great job! Paula said his performance was near impeccable. Simon thought it was good, but a little big wet, which means safe I guess, and he doesn't get the feeling that Kris can win this competition.

2. Allison Iraheta - "Someone to Watch Over Me”
She actually doesn't sound as bad as I thought she would. She kind of reminds me of a lady singer from the Old Western Saloons or something of that sort. She is hitting nice, trilled notes, which add to her already great singing! Randy said that was the bomb and she did it in her own kind of style! Kara said she isn't nervous for her anymore and that she converted some fans. Also how this performance should land her in the finals! Paula says she waited long to hear her approach a ballad, and it was alluring and tender. Simon said he has a horrible feeling that she could be in trouble tonight!

3. Matt Giraud - "My Funny Valentine"
As soon as he started, his voice irritated me! He has his highs and lows throughout the performance, and unless Danny and Adam both suck tonight, Matt can take his act on the road. Randy said it was a little bit pitchy and didn't all right come together. Kara didn't feel he was emotionally connected to this song. Paula said it was pure, simple and impressive. Simon disagrees with Randy and says this was the only believable, authentic performance tonight.

4. Danny Gokey - "Come Rain Come Shine"
I could barely hear him with the damn band in the background playing! WTF?!? All I really heard was a bunch of damn noise and nothing musical about it! The crowd gave him rolling applause. Randy says he is the only one who could have an actual album of songs like this and make it big! Kara says Danny has "swag" tonight.... and that was the best melodic and tone she's heard from him. Paula said it was a stellar performance. Simon said his vocals were the best he's heard from him in weeks.

5. Adam Lambert - "Feeling Good"
OMG! My favorite song and Adam is making it better. I love every version of this song by every artist who re-did it. Adam is doing a great job, but a couple of his notes are off, his final and very long high note kicked ass though! Randy says it was a little too Broadway for him, but still a great performance. Kara says he is shocking in a good way! Paula says words can't describe his performance. Simon said that was his best entrance and he can see how much Adam wants to win!

American Idol Thoughts - April 21st Performances

This week's theme is "Disco" and I really don't have hope for many of the Idols. Last week since the "Judges Save" rule last week to keep Matt Giraud in the competition, two contestants out of the Top 7 will be going home on tomorrow night's result show.

1. Lil Rounds - "I'm Every Woman"
Looking fine as usual, sounding sub par as usual too. She walks around the audience to try and gain some attention away from her bad singing. I feel like she's definitely going home this week, and they'll say she sounds second rate, once again. Randy says her performance didn't show what she can do in this competition with her vocal control. Kara says everyone has been waiting for her to sing an artist like Chaka Khan, but it wasn't worth the wait, and she still hasn't told the country who Lil Rounds is. Simon says he thinks this is the last week for her, due to her copycat, non-original, messy vocals.

2. Kris Allen - "She Works Hard For The Money"
Kris has the guitar out! He sounds good with the bands calypso-esque arrangement, including congo drums! I am enjoying this different arrangement, he definitely took this and made his own! I love how this kid always comes original, no matter what! He definitely knows what to do with his music, and he has no problem doing it! He'll definitely make it in the business. Kara says he took a real risk and it paid off big time! Paula sais it had a classy Santana feel, and it showed his originality. Simon says it was a complete polar opposite to Lil's performance, it was fantastic (ouch)! Randy says he knows who he is and this proves he is ready for the big time!

3. Danny Gokey - "September"
Danny has been getting a little boring lately, and I'm not sure about this performance. I know his voice should be awesome for this song, cause his voice could fit any Earth, Wind & Fire song. He doesn't sound all that to me, but that might just be me. Randy says he turned this song into something that worked for him tonight. Kara says he is an incredible vocalist with a right-on pitch, and his performance was solid. Simon said he hasn't gotten any star power, but the performance was awkward and clumsy.

4. Allison Iraheta - "Hot Stuff"
I love how Allison can go into a higher octave even with her raspy voice. She looks good, but this performance isn't really one of her greatest. It will be memorable cause she's doing her thing, but it's just not all that amazing. She can pull out one hell of a voice though. Randy says he didn't love the arrangement, but she's one of the best singers in this competition. Kara agrees with the arrangement issue, but her vocals were great! Simon says her performance was brilliant!

5. Adam Lambert - "If I Can't Have You"
Starting off slow and showing off his smooth vocals. He's suited up which is a good look for him! I think he is using this performance to show that he actually can sing, and isn't just a wild performer! He hit the high notes like a damn champion!! He sang the whole song slower than original, and he perfected it in my opinion! Randy says he is ready to win right now. Kara says his performance was brilliant and inspiring! Paula says she felt his performance, and she looks like she is about to cry. Simon says he did the unexpected, and it was original, memorable and had immaculate vocals!

6. Matt Giraud - "Staying Alive"
I was skeptical about him doing the Bee Gee's song, and he confirmed my skepticism. This performance wasn't great at all. He didn't really sound too good until he got to the chorus. I hated it probably cause I'm biased and love the original song. Randy says didn't love the song choice or arrangement, but he can sing. Kara says he brought the mood back to disco, and it was a solid performance. Paula said his performance was a strike and he'll be staying this week. Simon didn't like the performance, and it seemed a bit desperate with no originality, and not-so-great vocals.

7. Anoop Desai - "Dim All The Lights"
I swear, I love this dude's voice! But this song is another ballad he chose to do. Fans may not support this because it's so protocol now for him to slow down songs t suit his voice. Randy says he didn't really love this arrangement, but he has great vocal talent. Kara said it was a great song choice, and these last two weeks have been his best performances. Paula says he looked great and he enjoyed himself. Simon said he disagrees with the rest of the judges and Anoop's performance was mediocre at best and the version of the song was horrible and it was his worst performance to date.

This week's theme was "Songs From Movies" with special guest mentor, director Quentin Tarantino. After last night's group of tired, boring, horrible performances, I finally agree that at this point, anybody could be going home. Performances tonight by Miley Cyrus & Jennifer Hudson.

Now, the Top 7 sang the song "Maniac" from Footloose. I actually enjoyed this performance tonight! Matt definitely shined on this one, which was very unexpected! If I can find a studio version of that performance, it'll definitely be worth it!

American Idol Thoughts - April 14th Performances

Tonight the Top 7 are going to perform songs from movies, and their guest mentor is someone who doesn't know about singing, but knows about what movie soundtracks kick ass, Mr. Quentin Tarantino! I'm truly only tuning in because Adam is still in the contest, but I am really intrigued by what Lil is going to sing tonight!

1. Alison Iraheta - "Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith
Not really feeling her tonight. She doesn't sound too good until the chorus, but she hit the high note like a champ. Her raspy voice is still a little annoying to me. I love the way she dresses though, kids got her own style! Paula says that Allison possess the same "special sauce of being authentic" that Adam does. Simon thinks she is the girls only hope in this competition right now, and she's getting stronger and more confident with each week.

2. Anoop Desai - "Everything I Do" by Bryan Adams
I love this guy cause he has an excellent voice! Taratino told him to "rough up the vocals a bit", as in go deeper and curve back up into a higher pitch, which Anoop didn't. I feel like this performance was perfect, and showed his talent! The song was a good fit for him. Randy says he did a really good job. Kara said he definitely found his place in "pop songs, and adding his soul to it". She felt connected to his singing.

3. Adam Lambert - "Born To Be Wild" by Steppenwolf
Alright, biased love for Adam aside, this wasn't such a song that showcases his voice, but he came out and rocked the hell out of it! Now, vocals weren't too awesome, but he came out and once again made it his own with his signature high-pitched scream and walks around the stage! I can't wait to get this studio recorded version. Paula says fortune rewards the brave and he is one of the bravest contestants ever. Simon says vocally it was incredible, but the performance was like watching Rocky Horror Picture Show lol!

4. Matt Giraud - “To Really Love a Woman” by Bryan Adams
Matt is back at the piano tonight, and doesn't sound too bad. I don't believe I have ever heard the original song by Bryan Adams, but hopefully it doesn't sound worse than Girauds version. I'm indifferent because when I think he sounds good, the judges hate him, and vice versa. Randy says it was interesting, and it wasn't one of his best performances. Kara says he's having trouble with his song choices, and this set him one step back.

5. Danny Gokey - "Endless Love" by Diana Ross
It sounds weird hearing a male voice sing this song. He probably would have sounded better doing "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing", instead of Allison. He doesn't sound horrible, and his power notes are amazing, but it's just not doing it for me! The studio recorded version will be much better. Paula says it was a beautiful rendition. Simon says he can't fault his singing, but he's disappointed that he performed the original version, and wished for more. He congratulates him for choosing the song for his personal reasons though.

6. Kris Allen - “Falling Slowly” from the movie "Once"
He wasn't sure if he was going to use an instrument while singing, and he chose not to. This song seems too slow and boring for him. I'm used to him doing the whole Mraz thing. Randy said it never quite caught on for him, and it was pitchy from note one. Kara said it was "one of his best moments". WTF?!?!

7. Lil Rounds - "The Rose" by Bette Midler
Alright, Lil has been looking good as hell lately, and tonight is no different. She sounds alright in the beginning and begins using the power notes. It's better than many of her other performances, but not really all that great. I don't think this deserved to close the show out. I don't really know what Paula was trying to say, neither did Simon. Simon thinks Lil is getting this completely wrong, but this song was wrong for her, and she's not the artist they met in auditions. Lil begins to fight back, and starts snappingly explaining herself.

Damn, now at first I was laughing because this shit was so unexpected, but after listening to it, was it kind of harsh for them to say such things about a 16-year old girl? Probably so, but like Jamie says "We don't give a shit, we're all going to Hell" LMAO!!!!

I hella laughed when Jamie said "Let me get an order of mouth, light on teeth, heavy on gums"!! But I really hope this doesn't get out there and is made a big deal about because everybody is entitled to their opinions. But they did call her a bitch, many times.... I really don't know how I feel about this because Foxx has a teenage daughter of his own. And I've even put my extreme hatred for Miley Cyrus to the side to see how I felt. Still not sure.... The excerpt from that show was highly funny though! How do you guys feel about it?

American Idol Thoughts - April 7th Performances

This weeks theme for the Top 8: "Songs From The Year They Were Born".... Not yet sure how I feel about it, and we all know I'm most concerned with what Adam is going to do tonight!

1. Danny Gokey (1980) - Stand By Me
Sounds like a good song choice for him, but he is slighty pitchy. His powerful, deep voice sounds very well with this song. In the middle of the song, it gets a more uptempo lift, and Gokey shows off his powerful voice again for a split second. He begins to break it down, and belt out the song now! Enjoyable, definitely not his best, but good enough for him to stay another week! Randy didn't like the arrangement, but he said he was talented enough to work it. Kara said he did his own thing and did it well. Simon said overall it was great.

2. Kris Allen (1985) - All She Wants To Do Is Dance
Another Mraz-like performance. The band is great, and Allen is using the guitar tonight. I've never heard the original song, but this doesn't sound too bad. This could possibly be a filler song if he wanted to do an old school feel cd or something. The arrangement was great though, and his voice sounds like it fit well. Kara was excited he picked and uptempo song, but she says it felt like "jazz-funk homework". Simon says it was "indulgent, forgettable and boring". Randy says the arrangement was self-indulgent, and he was lost in the band instead of lost in Kris Allen.

3. Lil Rounds (1984) - What's Love Got To Do With It
She doesn't sound too good at the beginning. I doubt this was a good song choice for her. I don't understand why she keeps picking weird songs, where she only shines during power voiced ad-libs, and not during verses. She does look sexy as hell though! Simon said she sounded like a third-rate Tina Turner, and it feels like they lost who Lil Rounds is. Kara says Lil is struggling with finding out who she is, and her lower range suffers.

4. Anoop Desai (1986) - True Colors
...great, another slow, boring ballad! Now he sounds good, but the judges are probably going to have something to say about his song choice being safe. Randy says his vocals were very nice and controlled. Kara says he controlled the song and not vice-versa. Paula says his choice of song was flawless, which I find surprising. Simon says one minute he's down, and one minute he's up, and this week was his up week.

5. Scott McIntyre (1985) - The Search Is Over
WOW! Scott is standing up and playing the electric guitar! His vocals sound alright, but I'm sure the surprise of him being away from the piano and onto a guitar will make up for it! He hit the hell out of the high note coming down off the bridge! This was interesting, but in a surprisingly good way. He should be safe another week. Kara says there were parts she liked but parts that were too overambitious for her. Paula thinks reaching for the high notes came off screechy at times. Simon suggests he goes back to the piano next week, and the song was horrible.

6. Allison Iraheta (1992) - I Can't Make You Love Me
Hmmm.... her voice doesn't seem to be going too well with this song, at least not to me. I'm sure the studio recording will sound way better. She doesn't sound bad, but her kind of deep, raspy "pop/rock" voice is not too ideal for slow ballads. Paula says this is the perfect example of using the original arrangement and making the song your own. Simon thought it was very good, but her personality wasn't shining enough. Randy says that Allison reminds him of Kelly Clarkson, which is a good thing, but she needs to engage the public a bit more!

7. Matt Giraud (1985) - Part Time Lover
Not feeling it at all. I doubt his fancy downward trills can save him this week. I'm not really enjoying this performance, due to his voice not sounding like it fits. He definitely missed that high note, which was a high risk for him. Randy says that vocally was one of the best of the night. Kara says incredible on every level. Simon says better than last week.

8. Adam Lambert (1982) - Mad World
UH-OH! LAMBERT GOT THE PIMP SPOT BACK! His voice sounds great!! I think this was a perfect song choice for him because he can hit many notes other contestants can't link together. I'm sure this performance will keep him safe. He has extreme control of his vocals!! Simon GIVES HIM A STANDING OVATION!!!!

American Idol Thoughts - April 1st Results

So it's time to see which unlucky contestant of the current Top 9 gets the boot tonight on Season 8 of American Idol! The Idols kick of with an actually good Ford video, and then they get on stage to perform Journey's "Don't Stop Believing", which Lil, Adam and Anoop had great hitting notes! So without further ado, let's begin!

First Set
They split Matt, Megan and Kris into one group and have them stand on the side of the stage. Then they split Adam, Lil, and Allison set them on the center of the stage. Next is Scott, Danny and Anoop on the left side.

Intermission
David Cook performs his new song. To me it sounds like his first one... Ehhh! They then presented him with a Platinum plaque, which is awesome. He shed a couple of tears! I'm proud even though I don't care for his music.

With Anoop, Allison and Megan in the bottom three, Seacrest sends Allison back to safety. Anoop becomes safe, and Megan is the bottom-most person. The judges don't even waste their times, and let Megan know that they are not going to save her, even before her horrible performance. DAMN! HARSH!

Final Decision
MEGAN JOY IS THE FIFTH CONTESTANT TO BE ELIMINATED FROM SEASON 8 OF AMERICAN IDOL!... I honestly think it's about time, and I figured it would happen! Just wish it happened sooner!

American Idol Thoughts - March 31tst Performances

This weeks theme is "Top 100 I-Tunes Downloads".... not sure how I feel about this, anyway to keep it short and simple here are my thoughts about each performance

1. Anoop Desai - "Caught Up" by Usher
This performance seems a little different coming from Anoop. I don't think it was a great song choice, even though he tried to shy away from the ballads. The vocals weren't interesting, but he still sounds good. Doesn't hold a candle to Usher singing this though. Randy didn't think it was the right song for him either. Simon called it a "complete and utter mess" and it "lacked originality".

2. Megan Joy - "Turn Your Lights Down Low" by Bob Marley/Lauryn Hill
I just don't like this girl, I hate her voice!! She quickly resorts to her shitty ass trill singing, and she looks like a hot mess right now. I wish she would have picked a song that her voice wouldn't sound bad on, but for yet another week, she picked a song where her jazzy/burlesque doesn't fit it. Kara said it was a horrible choice and she should have picked a song to fit her voice. Simon said "song was boring and monotonous" and "all the things we liked about you are disappearing". Finally you judges understand that she sucks!!!

3. Danny Gokey - "What Hurts The Most" by Rascal Flatts
Love this kid, he definitely saved me from turning the channel lol! His voice doesn't sound too great until the chorus. Something about his vocal performance sounds different tonight, less par to the last weeks where he had songs with power choruses. I know the studio recording will song excellent though! Simon thought "this was his best performance of his since the competition began"! The rest of the judges have only positive things to say about his performance.

4. Allison Iraheta - "Don't Speak" by No Doubt
Wow! She brought out a guitar and is playing it! Didn't know she could do that! I don't really think this was a great song choice for her. Her raspy voice doesn't win me over on this song. There wasn't anything really amazing about her vocals tonight. She seemed to be rushing a little bit. Kara said "it wasn't her best performance, but it was good". Agreed!

5. Scott MacIntyre - "I Love You Just The Way You Are" by Billy Joel
I didn't watch the performance but I heard it from the kitchen. It sounded good to me, much better than his previous weeks. The judges all had positive things to say about him this week. Simon said "it was the best performance of the night so far".

6. Matt Giraud - "You Found Me" by The Fray
It started off a little awkward but quickly picked up. He did the chorus justice though! It seemed like he was trying to sing it too hard, but he didn't sound too bad. This was a perfect song choice for him. His high notes were great! I always envisioned him as a lead singer in a band such as The Fray, and I believe he could do it. Paula said "she feels like he aborted the things they loves about him". Simon said it "was somebody trying to be somebody else, and it was uptight". Randy said "Apologize by One Republic would have been a better choice", which I can agree on. Kara said "he should commit to one side of rock; either R&B or Alternative".

7. Lil Rounds - "I Surrender" by Celine Dion
I actually enjoyed this performance tonight! She is showing that she can choose a great song, finally! She hit that high note pretty well! This is a perfect song for her balance of soft melody and power vocals she is very well capable of! Randy praised her but he wouldn't have picked this song for her. Kara agreed with Randy, but she said she wants to see more from her. The judges basically are slamming her kindly about her "adult contempory" song choices. Simon called her "old-fashioned".

8. Adam Lambert - "Play That Funky Music" by Wild Cherry
Alright! Ready for another modified version of a song done by Adam Lambert? So am I! This started out a little weird for me, but you know I want Adam to win, so I believe he once again took this and made it his own, complete with his signature high pitched screams and background guitar solos. FUCKING LOVED IT!! AUDIENCE WENT WILD!! Paula praises him, of course! Simon says "his performance was original, and did away with the karaoke-ness of the rest of the performances." Ricky Minor and the band definitely did a good job!

9. Kris Allen - "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers
Last to go, starting off soft, normal great vocals while playing the piano! Song picks up but his soft vocals were a little dominated by the band. His performance was awesome, nothing else to really expect from Kris. Definitely becoming more of a favorite than Danny after tonight's performance. Randy said "you've been slaying them; one of the best performances tonight". Kara said "That Is Artistry". Paula says it "was his best performance to date". Simon said "he found his confidence; very strong performance".

American Idol Thoughts - March 26th Results

Thanks to Obama's speech, the American Idol shows were pushed back a day each, so tonight on Thursday, March 26th, 2009, we'll find out who will be the fourth contestant to be eliminated from Season 8 of American Idol. So after a lip-synched performance of a Motown Medley and some lame-ass Ford videos featuring the contestants, we get to the good stuff!

Beginning
Season Two Winner Rueben Studdard starts the night off with a performance of his newest single. He looks like he has lost a lot of weight!! I'm feeling the song, might have to download this one sooner or later! It's good to see that he's doing something with his career!

American Idol Thoughts - March 25th Performances

Sorry this is a day late, but I was feeling tired from school last night and I didn't have the energy to type as I watch, but I took notes with a pen and pad, so I could have something to share with you all about my thoughts on this weeks performances. Now, this week was "Motown" week, and all the contestants had to choose to perform some of the greatest songs of all time, in my opinion. Of course some were much better than others, as usual, but there were a couple of surprises but nothing too major. Each contestant had one on one time with the legendary Smokey Robinson, which was awesome cause they all could learn a lot from him, and a few seemed like they did!

But anyway, let's get to the meat of veggies of this entry, my thoughts on the performances of the remaining Top 10 Idol Hopefuls.

1. Matt Giraud
First up was Matt Giraud singing "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye. I don't necessarily care for this guy much, he has a good voice, but I don't think he has potential to actually win the competition. Tonight's performance didn't really impress me. He started on the piano, but quickly got up from it to show that he isn't reliant on it, which was a good move. Sadly, I'm so used to seeing him on the piano, that he looked awkward without it. The judges however gave him high praise, which baffled me.

2. Kris Allen
Kris sang "How Sweet It Is" by Marvin Gaye. He added a pretty nice intro, showcasing his voice. This kid can sing, and he sounds well, but with the guitar style, he sounds way too much like Jason Mraz, and we all know how much I don't care for Mr. Mraz! Surprisingly, this song choice seemed to fit him perfectly, so he's growing on me just a little bit.

3. Scott MacIntyre
Scott chose "You Can't Hurry Love" by Diana Ross & The Supremes. I was already bored with this guy before he sang his first note. He did a great job playing the part on piano, but his voice was nowhere near up to par this week. His performance reminded me of the old Western Saloons, where they have that guy playing the paino and singing off key. Even Simon said the song was a bad choice for him because his voice isn't suited for such an uptempo song. Simon also said it sounded like "honky-tonk", which is so true!

4. Megan Joy
Megan butchered "For Once In My Life" by Stevie Wonder. I really, really don't like her! This was a horrible song choice for her, and sadly she sounded better when she had the flu. Her voice gives off a bluesy, jazz type sound, and she should have picked something much better. Throughout the performance, her voice was shaking and off pitch, very bad night for her! Randy said it was a "train wreck", Kara said "the song dominated her". Not good reviews from the Judges at all. Definitely Bottom Three material this week.

5. Anoop Desai
Alright, Anoop sang "Ohh Baby Baby" by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles. Now, I was so conflicted about this performance because Anoop can sing very well, but the performance itself was boring! He just seemed to walk aimlessly around while singing. The Judges loved his voice and how he hit the high notes, but they all agreed that he was boring them.

6. Michael Sarver
"Ain't To Proud To Beg" by The Temptations, which is ironic to me because he'd better start begging now if he wants to remain in this competition! He was in the Bottom last week, and this performance proved why! He's just sloppy, and his voice isn't better than any other male contestant. Judges were brutally honest with him, and I don't believe he will make it this week.

7. Lil Rounds
Lil sang "Heat Wave" by Martha & The Vendellas. I believe that she picked a good song, but she doesn't have great control with her big voice to sing fast songs. Uptempo songs don't suit her and this performance showed that. The judges know she can sing, and they told her that her song choice wasn't great and she should learn from this and do better in the future.

8. Adam Lambert
Lambert sang "Tracks of My Tears" by Smokey and the Miracles. OH MY GOD! This kid continues to make each performance his own! First off, his style was taken to another level, he cleaned up, got the Elvis-like hairdo, nice suit OONNNNNN!!! Judges said he had the best performance of the night, which I agree with! This kid can actually sing! He's my favorite, hope he makes it to the finals. Smokey and all the judges gave him a standing ovation, which i feel he deserved!

9. Danny Gokey
He sang "Get Ready" by Smokey and the Miracles. This wasn't his best performance but still better than many others tonight. His voice is great, but he has a big voice which only shines during choruses of songs. Smokey advised him to sing the spacious part, but he didn't listen. BITCH! When Smokey tells you to do something to HIS song, you do it!

10. Allison Iraheta
Sang "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" by The Temptations. She is the strongest female contestant in my opinion. Her raspy voice annoys me at times, but this weeks performance was awesome. She did a good job closing the show out!

You Got Some Explaining To Do - Nintendo!

Say it ain't so Nintendo! I may be taking this out of proportion, but you can be the judge. To quote some awesome Avenue Q lyrics, "We're all just a little bit racist"... but even Nintendo? YOU GOT SOME EXPLAINING TO DO!!

So I was conversing with my bro King G and we were talking about old school gaming. Not too old school, just the N64 and Gamecube days. We talked about Super Smash Bros., Goldeneye/Perfect Dark, and then the topic of Donkey Kong 64 came up. He then showed me this YouTube video of the introduction for the game, which if you've ever played Smash Bros. Melee, you know it's the "DK Rap". This is where it originated!

We also started realizing all the similarities between Donkey Kong 64 and blatant African-American stereotypes. Well the fact that the introduction of the game is a rap song about a bunch of monkeys. Now if you're an avid racist, this will probably be enough for you to make such a correlation lol! But for the rest of us, we'll go a little bit further into this comical description. The Kongs also use guns... and most blatant of all EAT WATERMELON to regain their health! I find this funny, because I wonder if Nintendo, or the company who created this game, the now defunct RAREWARE, ever thought about this before the game was made.... or if they even did this on purpose thinking that children wouldn't know they were masking racism with an amazingly fun game to play!

This is all just funny to myself, and King G. I'm not mad about anything, it's just a little something for you to think about next time you feel like you've seen something blatantly racist hidden behind a childhood facade (i.e. the children's book that caused a small uproar, "Nappy Hair" by Carolivia Herron)

American Idol Thoughts - March 18th Results

Another week, another fallen Idol... who will it be this time? It was "Grand Old Opry" week, where every contestant attempted to sing Country music songs, no matter how much country doesn't suit them (i.e. Adam Lambert who rocked out Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire")

So once again, after a lame-ass on stage performance, some more dumb-ass Ford music videos featuring the top 11, and a "Who Cares" edition of the two contestants who got kicked off last week, they begin the actual reason why we're all watching, THE ELIMINATION!

ALEXIS GRACE IS THE THIRD CONTESTANT TO BE ELIMINATED FROM AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 8!!!

TONIGHT'S RESULTS & THOUGHTS
So, Alexis Grace's performance wasn't good enough to have the judges save her, so she was eliminated from the competition. I honestly believe that Sarver should have went home, but to actually be able to say ANYTHING, I would have actually had to vote huh?

I still have thoughts about last nights performances! I still can't get over this risk-taker Adam Lambert. I was reading around on other blogs about American Idol and I found his highly hilarious that one guy said "Lambert took a Johnny Cash classic and turned it into a middle Eastern sex jam"! I really hope he doesn't get screwed, or he doesn't screw himself during the remaining weeks, because Lambert, Danny Gokey & Lil/Allison deserve to be in the finals! Enjoy this video of Lambert's "Ring of Fire" performance!

American Idol Thoughts - March 17th Performances

Alright, it's Country Music week on Idol, and since I could care less about country music, I'll keep this very short and simple. I don't know the names of the songs each contestant sang, partly because I wasn't paying a bit of attention to this show tonight but here are my opinions about the performances

1. Michael Sarver
You could barely understand the lyrics coming out of his mouth. The judges seemed to think he could have done way better with a slower song to show off his range. He did have a point by saying Country music is about having fun, and Sarver did a good job of doing that on stage!

2. Allison Irhata
I personally didn't enjoy this performance because Allison's voice is definitely NOT made for Country music! She sounded off... and not herself. The judges praised her though (shrugs)

3. Kris Allen
He finally put down the guitar and proved his worth in this competition! I'm actually surprised that he did such a great job, and the judges had no negative comments for him. My new third place male contestant!

4. Lil Rounds
I don't really feel like her voice is made for Country singing, but she did a good job in my opinion. The judges thought her song choice wasn't a good one. She indeed does have a power voice, but her verses lacked the power she used to sing the chorus.

5. Adam Lambert
First off, he sang "Ring Of Fire" by Johnny Cash. Second off, he changed around the arrangements and rocked that shit out! Third, I LOVE THIS DUDE! He wasn't perfect, the starting off vocals were a little shaky, and the whole vibe was pretty weird, but I love that. The only thing I had a problem with was that Lambert didn't showcase a country song. He took the country song and changed it into a rock-esque song! But it was a great cover and I enjoyed it! The judges however didn't know what to make of it, and it left guest mentor, Randy Travis, speechless!

6. Scott McIntyre
Ehhh.... he chose another safe song. It didn't sound bad at all and he has major piano skills, but all of his slow songs are killing me. I want to see him do a more uptempo song to prove he's not all about ballads. Paula was getting on his case, but SIMON came to his defense. But I do agree with Paula, I'd like to see him mix it up, but stay on the piano. SIDENOTE: I find it funny how they point at him and give him thumbs up like he can really see it lol!

7. Alexis Grace
Not really feeling this performance. It didn't hook me in at the start, but she has a nice voice. Maybe this song was a bad idea for her. Judges thought she had a small pitch problem, which I agree with.

8. Danny Gokey
Funny how he was nervous to sing in front of Randy Travis! But yeah, this seemed like a safer song for him to perform, but he did a good job with it, once the chorus came in. I can only see him doing songs with a big soulful chorus, not really any modern pop songs like David Archuleta or anything. I believe the judges are over-hyping him though, but they agree with me about his first half of the performance not being a good one.

9. Anoop Desai
Alright, I'm on the fence with this kid now. He's good, but he's not great. But he can really sing, and he did his own thing. The judges praised him, and said his song choice was perfect. Simon said that was one of his favorite performances of the evening, which I'm not too sure I agree with, but Anoop did kick butt as opposed to last weeks performance. So good job Anoop Dogg!

10. Megan Joy
I think this might be my bias for just not liking this girl, but I didn't enjoy her performance. Her voice is very shaky, and pitchy. She chooses songs that don't showcase any real vocal skills, and I honestly don't know why the judges love her so much. She could do way much better with song choice & vocal arrangement. Her "bluesy" voice was messed up by the "flu"...... Right....

11. Matt Giraud
I forgot he was even still a contestant... He's alright, but nothing great or memorable about him. He reminds me of the lead sing from The Fray, which is a good thing. I'm sure he could put a band together and do some music like that, but I don't think I'd care if he was a solo artist. The performance hit a high when the chorus came in, but it wasn't my cup of tea. He's still good though! Judges loved him, Randy said it was his favorite performance of the night & Simon said he outsand Danny Gokey, which is very high praise!

ELIMINATION PREDICTION
I believe the bottom three will consist of Micheal Sarver or Scott McIntyre, Lil Rounds definitely, and maybe Allison Irhata or Alexis Grace. I honestly believe that either Micheal Sarver or Lil Rounds will be heading home on tomorrow nights show. I really wish Megan Joy would go, but that's just me apparently! Until tomorrow all!

American Idol Thoughts - March 11th Results

I'm tuned in to the "suckage" and so far I'm not sure how I feel about this new rule that the judges have. It's called the "Judges Save" rule, and it gives the judges a chance to unanimously vote that one week nobody will get eliminated, in order to give a contestant that they feel shouldn't be in the bottom, another chance to prove him/herself one more week.

Upside to this rule is that a contestant who can actually sing, but fails to grab the viewers attention will be given another chance to prove his/her worth! Seacrest used examples such as Chris Daughtry, saying that fans felt he was sent home too early. I agree, but then you have to realize that those normally close to the end tend to have a little more success than those who might actually have won!

Downside to this is that the week after the judges use this rule, two contestants will be eliminated instead of just one. I feel like the viewers will eliminate the contestants who probably deserve to go, plus all the votes that the viewers spend their money to cast will literally mean nothing if the judges interrupt their say, and save a contestant. Fans may be weary to vote each week because of this.

Alright, so onto the actual show! After a couple of lame-ass Ford music videos featuring the top 13 Idols, I'm awaiting to see which two will be sent home tonight!

American Idol Thoughts - March 10th Performances

So I started watching American Idol again this season. I stopped after Jordin Sparks won Season 6. Season 7 had nothing to offer me, and that fact was proven when David Cook won. But even though I highly feel like this season is nothing but over-hyped karaoke performances, I can't turn away! It's like the suckage is pulling me in, and making me watch it, but I'm not entirely upset about it. It's my new guilty pleasure!

So this is the first week of the eliminations, and I have some favorites already, and some major let-downs and surprises. The Idols had to choose and sing a song by Micheal Jackson this week and here are their choices and my thoughts:

1) Lil Rounds - The Way You Make Me Feel
Wasn't really impressed, but she's not bad!

2) Scott Mcinytre- Keep The Faith (on grand piano)
I like this guy, but he chose a safe song. He has potential to be great, he just has to practice his range a bit more.

3) Danny Gokey - Pretty Young Thing
One of my strong faves! He can really sing, and I hope he proves himself in the later rounds against fan/judge favorite Adam Lambert.

4) Michael Sarver - You Are Not Alone
I'm not impressed by him that much. He has a good voice, but not good enough to last long in the competition.

5) Jasmine Murray - I'll Be There
Didn't really like this performance, nothing really else to say.

6) Kris Allen - Remember The Time (with acoustic guitar)
I like his style, perfect song choice, guitar is a good look for him.

7) Allison Irhata- Give In To Me
She rocked it, not a fan of her voice, but she has her good moments. My favorite girl for the competition though.

8) Anoop Desai - Beat It
EPIC FAIL! So shocked that he messed it up, def bottom 3 material this week. His performance lacked everything that a performance should have! I won't be surprised if he's the one to go home this week.

9) Jorge Nunez - Never Gonna Say Goodbye
Not a fan of this song choice, his voice is old-timey but still a good voice for an album, voice kinda reminiscent of old-Sinatra-esque music.

10) Megan Corkery - Rockin' Robin
EPIC FAIL! WTF was she thinking bout this song choice? I don't like her at ALL! Probably in my choice for bottom three as well!

11) Adam Lambert - Black And White
I hate this song, but Lambert is fucking awesome! He took it and made it his own! In my mind, this kid is a true performer! My favorite one of this season! I want to see him do a rocked out duet with Alexis Grace.

12) Matt Giraud - Why Why (Human Nature?) (on grand piano)
He sounded good with the piano, enjoyed it, too close to Robin Thicke/Timberlake.

13) Alexis Grace - Dirty Diana
She can rock, has bad moments but picked a nice song to compliment her style. Probably my 2nd favorite girl next to Allison.

Working On New Material

I've been listening to a great deal of instrumentals and I've found some that are really talking to me, but they aren't telling me the whole story. I've been able to start work on some of them, but I'm having trouble finishing them. I thought that if I could give my undivided attention to one instrumental at a time, then I'd be able to finish it. That hasn't been the case all day! There are a lot of songs I'm working on, and I want to get them out there while I still care about making rap music. Even though most people don't care and choose not to support, I don't want to sit back and waste what I feel is a great talent of mine.

So I've decided to try my hardest to work on a triple mixtape, each volume being titled "Mind" "Body" & "Soul" respectively.

"Volume One: Mind" will be mostly about things that are on my mind, but I have no personal dealing or experience with. Mostly topics that I just want to give my own two cents about but don't directly affect me.

"Volume Two: Body" will be my club-banger and uptempo album. It will have a more sexual tone to it, due to me being such a sexual person. This is where I will release that sexual tension and talk about anything and everything about making your body feel good, by moving it or engaging in some sexual activity.

"Volume Three: Soul" will be my more personal album, dealing with topics and issues in my life that have taken a toll on me, or have affected me in a good/bad way. This album will allow me to talk about things I rarely do & also allow me to get some things off my chest about people and events in my life.

Here are a couple of concepts for songs that I'm working on:

1. Lost My Mind (working title) from Vol. 3 "Soul"

This song will be about my parent's divorce and what I think about it. It contains a sample from "All The Things She Said" by t.A.T.u., which I personally find awesome. The first verse is sort of an overview about the situation. Second verse will be how I feel about my father, and the third verse will be about my mother. I'm trying to find the right words to portray my feelings about the whole situation, as well as how I feel about each side.

BEST LINE SO FAR: "Pops was a funny man, Momma was a drama queen/ But how much of it was comedy? How much of it was tragedy"

2. I Still Fucked You (working title) from Vol. 3 "Soul"

This song is basically about two girls, who throughout my life just used me for their own sexual pleasures, even though they thought I was a "lame-ass nigga."

BEST LINE SO FAR: "This bitch said I'm corny, but it was a different story/ Whenever she was horny and her lips were all on me"

3. All Good Now from Vol. 3 "Soul"

This song starts of the first verse with me talking about how I was trying to find my place in the world. Second verse speaks on how I enjoy my life now. Third is a message to others, telling them to take their time to make sure they know what they want out of life. I feel this will be a good, positive song for my fans, if there are any!

BEST LINE SO FAR: "I done studied every major, couldn't find my niche/ and I've been all around the world like a yo-yo trick/ Moods bouncing up and down like a pogo stick/ Feeling inadequate cause I don't know shit"

4. Call Me from Vol. 2 "Body"

This song features a sample of "Lollipop" from Lil Wayne, used as the chorus. Obviously the line "Call me so I can make it juicy for ya" is used, but it's screwed up, so it goes perfectly with the instrumental. Also obviously is that this song is about how women call me over when they want to have some great sex.

BEST LINE SO FAR: "I'm that dude she get that bed wetting sex from/ Cause I beat that pussy like a red-headed step son"

5. Money On The Floor from Vol. 2 "Body"

This song is a tribute to that homeless rapper, J-Slash a.k.a. The Notorious B.U.M. If you have no idea who I'm talking about, check out this previous blog post (Notorious BUM!!)
I'm pretty sure this instrumental was made for him to use but it's so good that I have to get in on it! It'll be a regular club-banger type of song, talking bout money, hoes, liquor, smoking and all that good "urban" stuff.

To be honest, I'm been trying to eat healthier but I've never really gotten around to committing to it because when I'm out in the streets or at work, I tend to gravitate closer to fast food restaurants and other not-so healthy meals. But if I can't eat healthy, maybe someone else will stumble upon this blog and find out some useful information to help them on the path to becoming a healthier eater! 1. Produce

Piling your plate with fruits and vegetables is a no-brainer when it comes to weight loss — they're low in calories, high in nutrients, and filling — but the latest studies show that certain ones can provide surprising anti-aging benefits.

There's buzz about blueberries, for instance, for their memory-boosting potential. But berries of all hues are antioxidant-rich, reports Navindra P. Seeram, Ph.D., assistant professor at the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy in Kingston. That means they combat free radicals, molecules that can cause widespread cell damage and are linked to chronic inflammation. Unlike the inflammation that occurs when you sprain an ankle or strain a muscle, the type that contributes to aging is persistent, and thought to be at the root of most chronic diseases, from cancer, heart disease, and diabetes to Alzheimer's, arthritis, and osteoporosis. Berries' beauty bonus: They're chock-full of vitamin C, another potent antioxidant that may help keep your complexion looking smooth by fighting those pesky (skin-damaging) free radicals.

To keep your vision sharp, set your sights on spinach and other dark leafy greens. These veggies are prime sources of lutein and zeaxanthin, plant pigments that protect your eyes from the harmful effects of ultraviolet light. Leafy greens are also rich in vitamin K, a nutrient that plays a role in reducing bone loss and preventing fractures.

2. Protein

This key dietary component becomes even more critical starting in the 40s, when muscle mass begins to decline by up to 1 percent a year. That drop slows metabolism, which makes the pounds pile on more easily. The double whammy consequence: Added weight puts your health at risk, and down the road, diminished muscle mass can throw off your balance (upping chances of a fall), sap your strength, and even threaten your ability to recover from an illness or accident.

To hang on to your metabolism-boosting muscle — and keep you feeling full after meals (another protein plus) — experts recommend eating plenty of skinless chicken and turkey breast, lean beef and pork, eggs, beans, and seafood. And don't forget protein-rich dairy: Minerals (primarily calcium, phosphorus, and potassium) in fat-free milk and yogurt as well as low-fat cheeses help to keep blood pressure healthy, pudge in check, and bones strong. News flash: Calcium can't build bone if you're not getting enough protein, and current recommendations — about five ounces a day for a 145-pound woman — are too low, says Robert P. Heaney, M.D., professor of medicine at Creighton University in Omaha. Our Anti-Aging Meal Plan provides about 11 ounces of protein daily.

Another reason to spoon up some yogurt: Eating at least 1/4 cup every day led to a 60 percent lower risk of gum disease and a 50 percent lower risk of tooth loss in a Japanese study published in the Journal of Periodontology. The effect is thought to be linked to the probiotics in yogurt, but not in most other dairy.

3. Omega-3-Rich Fish

Fatty acids in seafood help quench the flames of chronic inflammation. In addition, "there's very good new data suggesting that omega-3 fats from fish act on an area of the brain that leads to improved mood and attitude among healthy people," says Artemis P. Simopoulos, M.D., author of The Omega Diet. These improvements in outlook lead to feeling healthier and more vigorous, she explains. The omega-3s in fatty fish like salmon and tuna have the most potent anti-inflammatory effects. But it's smart to consume omega-3s from plant sources, like walnuts and flaxseed, too — especially if you're not fond of fish.

4. Whole Grains

A 2008 review of these diet-friendly foods — which include whole wheat, oats, and brown rice, and the bread, cereal, and other edibles made from them — concluded that a meal plan loaded with whole grains helps you stay slim, thanks, in part, to fiber's role in appetite control. Their low rankings on the glycemic index (a system that rates the effect of different carbohydrates on blood sugar levels) may also play a role.

A raft of research has also shown that whole grains offer protection against diabetes, heart disease, stroke, colon cancer, high blood pressure, and gum disease. These benefits are tied to the array of vitamins, minerals, plant chemicals, and again, fiber that work together to promote health. (That's why refined grains, which filter out these nutrients during manufacturing, and add some back later in the process, don't offer the same advantages.)

5. Exercise

It's an anti-aging bonanza: Being active maintains muscle mass, boosts metabolism, and keeps your heart and lungs primed, among other benefits. Now, a recent study has found that running, in particular, promotes a long, independent life. Researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine followed a group of runners and non-runners for 21 years and found that elderly runners put off age-related disabilities for 16 years beyond their non-running counterparts. Runners also lived longer: 19 years into the study, only 15 percent of them had died compared with 34 percent of the non-runners. And the active ones were less likely to die from heart disease, stroke, cancer, and neurological conditions. While this study examined running, 30 minutes of more moderate aerobic activity, five days a week, will keep you healthy, according to recently released guidelines from the American Heart Association and American College of Sports Medicine. What should also be on your fitness agenda: strength training twice a week to maintain muscle and keep your metabolism humming.

6. Red Wine and Other Drinks

What other diet recommends red wine? Ours does because the ruby beverage's resveratrol is a potent antioxidant, inflammation damper, and artery protector. Plus, animal research suggests that high amounts of resveratrol may counteract cell death in the heart and brain, which could mean this compound has even greater potential to prolong your life. Limit yourself to one five-ounce glass a day; more could be harmful.

If you're not a wine drinker, no worries: Put on the coffeemaker or the kettle instead. Coffee appears to lower the risk of type 2 diabetes and Parkinson's disease, and evidence suggests that java drinkers have a lower chance of dying from heart disease. Some of the benefit may come from caffeine, but coffee also contains chlorogenic acids, antioxidants that might also play a protective role. Drinking tea may lower your risk of heart attacks, strengthen your immune system, protect tooth enamel, and help fight memory loss associated with aging. Choose green, black, white, or oolong — their leaves all come from the camellia sinensis, or tea plant. And their polyphenols (antioxidants), fluoride, and caffeine — which are thought to contribute to these health benefits — are largely missing from herbal brews.

I am seriously in love with this movie, not only because John Cusack is my favorite actor, but because it's concept was so great. I just want to do something like this, ya know? I have a list of 5 ex-girlfriends who I sometimes wonder if I ever have a chance to reunite with, or just wonder how things would have been if we'd stayed together. Maybe one of my first projects as a film director can be a low-budget non-canonical sequel, about me and my love for music and ex-girlfriends. Of course I'll need a completely different plot line to have to distinguish my version from the Cusack version, so that people won't feel like they're watching the same exact movie as before, like such franchises as "Bring It On" for instance. The first one was a great film, second one was "ehhh", and the others that followed just sucked due to their too similar plotlines, with minimal changes besides characters and locations.

I know my personal friends are probably wondering which five of my ex-girlfriends I would use for this project... Hehe, wouldn't you like to know

For the past year, I've watched this sitcom called "Still Standing" which is hilarious to me, so I went to Wikipedia and did some research on some of the cast members and I found out that the actress, Renee Olstead, who plays middle-daughter Lauren Miller, is more than an actress, but a singer as well, and a DAMN GOOD ONE! Her sound is very jazz-like. She has a sweet voice and just from watching her on "Still Standing", you would never guess that such a beautiful voice could come out of her body. this has definitely been a wonderful surprise for the day! And to think, she has achieved so much at such a young age, it's very impressive! So go support her and purchase her new album titled "Skylark", which has already hit stores on January 27th, 2009.

Lazy Thursday - February 19th, 2009

I don't have much to say as of late, school has been keeping me quite busy! I've been at work all weekend, and of course this past Saturday was Valentine's Day, so I've been in an unhappy, grumpy mood since then. I woke up yesterday morning and I wasn't in the mood to do much of anything, so I stayed home from school, did some homework and just locked myself in my room. I did manage to find a couple of instrumentals that I may work on in the future.

We're supposed to be having an Infamous Day tomorrow, and apparently every last one of the Infamous Crew will be there, even our newest member Nick, a white rapper who is quite talented. Seems like I may have some competition on the rap game in my camp, but it's whatever, I'm excited to just work with everybody. I've been digging this Jet Blacke sound that I've finally been able to bring to the table, I feel more like myself doing it, and I'm having more fun making this kind of music than I've ever had working on anything else we've done.

I have a couple of songs to contribute to meeting tomorrow. "Ain't Scaring Nothing", "De-CODED", "The Fallout(Sillyface)", my verse for "My Lady", and just a couple of ideas for some other songs. It will be interesting to have every member of Infamous Crew together, I feel we will be able to bounce some ideas off each other and have a pretty productive day. There is talks of gathering everybody afterward and going bowling or something, too bad I'm flipping broke! It would be nice to just have an evening out with some friends though, haven't had a good time in a long time.

As for now, I'm drowning myself in some Fall Out Boy, trying to give "Folie A Deux" a chance, since I just assumed I hated it from jump street... man I miss the sweet nicotine from cigarettes....

I don't understand why the instrumental for Paramore's "Decode" is the perfect fit for a rap song I just wrote about religious doubts and my own personal relationship with God.... Just saying, it's kind of weird.

Today's events, which are highly unspeakable and highly unethical, were the inspiration for the words I wrote. I ask that when you read/hear them, please do not hold them against me, for they are my personal feelings from years of experience in the topic of religious doubt, and also my opinion which shouldn't be judged by anyone except The Lord himself. If He sees fit to judge me for my words, then I have no problem with that.

...and this is why I'm scared to do any "extreme" sports such as snowboarding, skateboarding and especially motocross.... R.I.P. Jeremy Lusk, your awesomeness will not be forgotten dude! This guy was badass, he died doing what he fucking loved! There is no other way to go out! I saw him win the medals in the X-Games (on television of course) and he was pretty fawesome! You'll be missed by all the people who loved and looked up to you Lusk!

Freestyle Motocros Rider Jeremy Lusk Dies

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP)—Jeremy Lusk, an American freestyle motocross rider, died of head injuries Tuesday after crashing while trying to land a backflip in competition. He was 24.

Jorge Ramirez, chief of the intensive care unit at Calderon Hospital where Lusk was taken, said the motocross racer suffered severe brain damage and a possible spinal cord injury.

Lusk won a gold medal at the 2008 X Games. He was injured Saturday night when he failed to complete a full rotation while attempting a Hart Attack backflip and slammed headfirst into the dirt. Lusk crashed in almost identical fashion in the freestyle semifinals at the 2007 X Games but was not hurt.

He had a successful 2008 season, winning Freestyle gold at the X Games and silver in Best Trick when he landed the first double-grab Hart Attack backflip. He won a bronze helmet in Freestyle at the Moto X World Championships in his hometown of San Diego.

Ramirez said Lusk died with his parents and his wife, Lauren, at his side.

“He was in a medicine-induced coma as a protective measure, and the medicine was being reduced to see how his body responded,” he said. “That didn’t mean he was going to wake up. He was in shock and that got worse last night, until he stopped responding and entered into cardiac and respiratory failure.”

Lusk lived in Temecula, Calif.

Yep, yep, here it comes! Another "Lazy Tuesday" post! Nothing much to do today, so I'm surfing around Myspace, listening to a bunch of artists who are attempting to add me as their friend. I'm pretty much enjoying all of them, so I'll be adding them and maybe one of them will be featured in the next "iSupport" post. Other than that I'm just working on my own music.

Over the weekend I managed to spark creativity out of this world based on my own personal feelings with the song I wrote called "De-CODED", using the instrumental of Paramore's "Decode" from the Twilight Soundtrack. I feel like I've found my sound, I've started off wanting to do rap, but when I got into high school, I fell in love with rock, so now I'm going to do it all! I realized I don't have to be confined to one genre, I can bring a blend of rock, rap, r&b, true hip-hop and anything else I feel like!!

Anywho, I've finished other songs such as "Ain't Scaring Nothing" which contains a sample of "A Milli" from Lil Wayne. It's a pretty good song, just a song I came up with in a couple of days. It's basically just me rapping, and I really like the beat. It was done by Skrazey Beats, this dude I found on Soundclick who makes some pretty slick and enjoyable instrumentals. I'm going to see if I can work on another one of his beats, because I really enjoy his style!

I finished "Going Nowhere", which is a song that I'm rocking out on. I almost feel like Limp Bizkit and Danger Radio have both influenced this song as you could probably tell from the lyrics of the verses and the sound of the chorus. I really can't wait to record this one! It'll probably be the most fun I've had recording since we've started.

That's pretty much all I've done though, so the S.Raine Myspace Page will be getting a long-awaited, highly-needed makeover and update very soon! YAY ME!

Chris Brown = EPIC FAIL!!

Now, I just read about Chris Brown allegedly going straight gung-ho on Rihanna, and while I really don't like Rihanna, C.B. had no fucking reason to put his hands on her. Now I really don't know what the two were arguing about, or if Brown even did put his hands on her because I wasn't there, but if this is all true, Chris Brown has definitely committed the most epic fail of his career, even more than his guest starring role on The O.C. as that band geek turned "Stefan" who Mini-Cooper was trying so hard to suck off under the bleachers of Newport High.

Grammy day was supposed to be a glittery affair for R&B's reigning It couple, Chris Brown and Rihanna. But things went horribly amiss.

About the time Brown was scheduled to be singing "Forever" onstage at Los Angeles' Staples Center, he was instead detained by police, being questioned for allegedly roughing up Rihanna.

Brown, 19, turned himself in at the LAPD's Wilshire station around 6:30 p.m. and was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of four years. The case will now be sent to the district attorney's office and further charges could be filed. He was released from jail after posting $50,000 bail.

"He was very professional and didn't appear to have injuries," said Sgt. Bridget Pickett, adding, "He's a good looking young man."

While Brown appeared unscathed, sources tell E! News that the alleged victim was Rihanna, 20, and that she suffered visible bruises on her face during an early morning confrontation. Both in turn balked at scheduled Grammy appearances.

A spokeswoman for Brown's label declined comment and calls to his attorney, Mark Geragos, weren't immediately returned.

Meanwhile, Rihanna's publicist, Amanda Silverman, said the "Disturbia" singer "is well. Thank you for concern and support."

Per department policy, police declined to identify the alleged victim in the incident, which occurred about 12:30 a.m. in the Hancock Park area, apparently as the two were heading home from Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy bash, where they had been all smiles.

In a statement, police say Brown and his companion "became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker."

By the time officers arrived on the scene, Brown had split.

Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, decided against singing a medley of "Disturbia" and "Live Your Life" at tonight's awards. Likewise, Brown scrapped his scheduled performance of "Forever."

"We're sorry she is unable to join us this evening," said the Recording Academy. A virtually identical statement was issued for Brown's absence.

Brown and Rihanna were up for dueling Pop Collaboration With Vocals awards, Brown for his duet with Jordin Sparks on "No Air," Rihanna with Maroon 5 for "If I Never See Your Face Again." Brown was also contending for Male R&B Vocal Performance for "Take You Down." Neither Brown nor Rihanna won anything.

After the ceremony, Recording Academy President Neal Portnoy told E! News that he first learned of the situation "pretty late in the afternoon," about three hours before showtime.

"Musicians are no different than anybody else. I'm not judging. I'm sorriest that they weren't there for their moments on stage," he said, adding that he's never had to deal with replacing two segments at the last minute.

"I'm hoping that [the awards are] the story and should not be eclipsed by this part of business," Portnoy said. "I think the story is...the music that went on stage."

Backstage, Anthony Hamilton, winner of the Traditional R&B Vocal Grammy with Al Green, said his pal was pressed into emergency service "about an hour and a half before the preshow."

Green crooned "Let's Stay Together" with assists from Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban and Boyz II Men.

Asked if old-pro Green really was able to take the stage on such short notice, Hamilton suggested the R&B icon was practicing last night.

Said Hamilton, "He knew something could happen."

School Daze

So, I'm pretty much enjoying my classes this semester so far, and I just wanted to talk about them for a quick second. (sidenote: it's crazy windy outside...)

SPAN 2002 - Intermediate Spanish 2
So if you know me at all, you know I love the Spanish language, and therefore this is my favorite class, but I do enjoy this class more because of the professor, Dr. Dennis Miller Jr. (no relation to comedian Dennis Miller, just a weird coincidence). Dr. Miller, is like way awesome! I had him last semester for SPAN 2001, and it was great. He is a very fun and quirky professor, which made all of us enjoy the class and learn better. He isn't harsh about students making mistakes of giving wrong answers, it truly feels like he wants us to all learn from our mistakes. He's always happy and excited, which is probably from all the coffee he drinks, but it makes the class way more interesting. He gives us practice exams days before our actual exam so we know exactly what to expect, no tricks or surprises. So on a scale of 1 to 10, this class is definitely a 13!

CMS 3710 - Writing For Digital Media
Now, I got a completely different impression of what this class would be about, but when I got into it, I realized it's not about writing essays or anything, but using HTML to write web pages and create our own portfolio. That will definitely help us when we go out into the Communication field, and it gives us an outlet to showcase our media. Now the only problem with this class is the Lev Manovich textbook that I referred to in my post titled "Lazy Tuesday". Weird wording, but we haven't really been working out of the book lately. This class is definitely interesting, and I'm sure Dr. Steve Spence will teach us many things that will help us in the long run of our CMS careers.

CMS 2010 - Introduction to CMS
For those who don't know, CMS stands for Communication & Media Studies, which is what I'm majoring in. I also took this same class last year, but due to the circumstances back then, I only managed to get out of the class with a 'D', and I need to 'C' or better to move onto my next CMS classes. This is another fun, informative class all thanks to Dr. Clark! This guy looks like a mad genius, and he probably is! He knows his stuff, and he's good at teaching because he's another professor who makes the class fun by being himself, and sharing his knowledge! Hopefully this time I'll be able to pass with higher than a 'D' lol!

Now, I know I'll probably going to hell for even entertaining this youtube video of a rapping homeless man, but you have to admit, it's very catchy when they actually put his words to the beat. The videos they fused with the amateur YouTube clip is wild, so it all works. This guy really needs to be given a pen, some paper, and five dollars for a razor, cause if he got serious, he'd probably be "cRap" musics next big thing!

I still can't get over that line "I got this dick for you.... Are you a freak?" lol! So catchy, I hate it, but I love it! He apparently is from Zone 3, wherever that is. I might go try to find this guy and collaborate with him one day, for serious!

iSupport - Nfinite Dream

Now when I created this blog, I knew it wasn't going to just be all about me. There will be many posts containing the title "iSupport", in which I will fill the people in on many different musical artists, websites and friends who I truly admire and support. For the first installation of "iSupport", I have my friend Jhavia a.k.a. Nfinite Dream. I don't know her too well, but I gravitated to her because she is a rarity in this world: A beautiful, artistic young woman with an even more beautiful, shining soul! She currently has a website called Nfinite Dream, which contains some of her awesome imagery and amazing poetry. Her words are great, so you definitely have to check her out! You can always catch Ms. Nfinite Dream on the Clayton State Internet Radio station on Saturdays from 4pm-6pm, she plays a good range of wonderful, soulful music thats hard to catch on any other radio station nowadays. Model Behaviour # 1 - Precious White

I'm always bored, and as a result, always on the internet just browsing around. While browsing, I stumbled upon a pretty, young model named Precious White. Her Myspace account and other almost every other link to book her is now defunct, which makes me believe she has stopped modeling, but I managed to find a couple of her modeling pics, and I'm going to post them here. I think she's very pretty, and she probably could do a great deal of good in the modeling industry if given the right opportunity. She kind of reminds me of the adult film star, Lacey Duvalle, who will probably be featured in an upcoming installment of "Model Behaviour".

Life In The Past Lane (Yes, I meant "Past")

....I lost a friend from my past. A dear friend, whom I loved and was in love with once upon a time. Our friendship was very positive, started out very innocent and sweet. But then it just got bad, and I became hopeless in this persons eyes. Sometimes I just sit and think what would have happened if this person and I never had a fallout. And that is the basic idea of a song I wrote a couple of years ago, which I then titled "Sillyface" but for now I just call it "The Fallout". It'll be featured on my upcoming S.Raine mixtape "Mind, Body and Soul Compilation Volume 3: S.O.U.L." I'll have to explain the whole "Mind, Body and Soul" triple-mixtape concept at a later date, because it's almost midnight and I have to be up at 6am for school.... Be back sometime tomorrow night after the first Infamous Day of 2009! Hopefully we'll get some good music made tomorrow! More about the girl in the "past-lane" tomorrow as well....

Swine Fest 2009!

Of course, I'm surfing the internet aimlessly and I come across the most delicious yet deadly thing I've ever seen in my entire life! It's called The Bacon Explosion and it's made with "two pounds of bacon woven through and around two pounds of sausage and slathered in barbecue sauce". Now to me, who is a firm believer in slaughtering a pig for yummy consummation, this is like "el jefe" of pork-related dishes! This might even kick around the ass of my mom's Roast Pork & Yellow Rice dinner, and nothings is better than that! So because I actually want to make one of these bad boys, and I want to teach today's youth how to clog their arteries so they don't have to see past 20 years of their lives in this horrible world, I'm going to try my best to show you all how to make this!

Step One: Strips of bacon are woven together

Step Two: The bacon is then seasoned and covered with a layer of sausage meat

Step Three: That is then covered with a crunchy layer of cooked bacon

Step Four: The internal layers are then rolled up tight and wrapped in the bacon mat

Step Five: The dish can be baked or cooked in a smoker

Dakota? Fanning? Less Scary?

So I'm still wide awake, sitting here watching The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and he has Dakota Fanning on here as a guest promoting that new movie "Push", which stars Fanning and ~~Johnny Storm~~ Chris Evans. Now, it turns out that Fanning is still only 15 years old, which means she has been acting since she was about five or six maybe. I find it highly weird that she carries herself with so much poise and maturity. Her speech is something to be completely jealous of, even in her younger years it was like that. I'm just glad that she is showing some signs of aging, and doesn't still look like she's seven! Thank God!

....and now I'm reading rumors of her being cast in the Twilight sequel, "New Moon", as Jane! Now for those who don't speak "Twilight", Jane is a member of Italy’s Volturi, the most deadly group of bloodsucking killers in this second part of the series. The way she was described in the book was a "Botticelli angel-like face and crimson irises". It's safe so say that I approve this because I really think Fanning can pull this off with ease, she's already very creepy. I also want this to happen so they (a) don't go forward with casting Vanessa Hudgens as ANYONE in the movie and (b) Taylor Lautner gets to beef up and become the vicious version of Jacob he is meant to be in the sequel.

So yeah, Fanning is finally growing up a bit! Good job Dakota! But it is still weird your name is DAKOTA! At least you haven't grown into a snaggle-toothed old man like Kirsten Dunst has.... UGH!

Is A College Degree Really Worth It?

I thought about doing something in a trade school, maybe going to Gwinnett Technical College and getting a diploma in some sort of trade. Lazy Tuesday

Well, I don't have classes on Tuesdays or Thursdays, so I usually just sit around bored, lonely, and tired. Today, I didn't do much because I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. I've felt like this all weekend, and no medicine is helping me! I've taken Dayquil, Nyquil, Tylenol Severe Sinus, Tylenol Severe Congestion, Marijuana and Root Beer, and none of these have worked any sort of wonders on me!! Technically with all of those drugs, I should probably be dead, or at least in some sort of deep coma. At least when I took the Nyquil, I was able to fall asleep and actually dream for once. Couldn't tell you what the dream was about, but I know I had some and that hasn't happened in a long time. So grateful for drugs....

So because today is Tuesday and I have nothing to do with my life, I actually cracked open my $15 textbook for CMS 3710 "Writing For Digital Media". It was only $15 because I bought it used online somewhere. Saved an assload of money at the expense of not having my textbook to study for my first quiz, but money so outweighs a failed quiz grade, especially in my current situation that shall remain unmentionable to the public. But anyway, I started reading this book and I get completely confused by some of the terms and wordings that the author uses. The book is called The Language of New Media by Lev Manovich. The author, Manovich, is this Russian born guy who is like super smart when it comes to all these topics of computer media. It's pretty wild how much Manovich knows about this topic, I wish I knew that much about anything.... besides the porn industry... which is seeking a bailout from the government... I find that randomly hilarious!! So yeah, I studied, hoping that my second quiz in this class goes way better than my first one did.

First Entry: Broken Silence

First thing first, for those who don't know me, my name is Steven Clark Jaudon. I created this blog to have an outlet for not only my ideas about music, literature and film, but I also needed a place to release my personal thoughts about my everyday world and the interesting/comical/depressing things I view and hear about it. I'm not an organized person, so don't expect this blog to make any sort of amazing sense. If you don't get me now, then you probably never will, because I'm sure my dark-witted, sarcastic tone only grows worse with each passing day. I'm a very random person, so if you become a consistent reader of this blog, prepare yourself to learn how to focus on the main point of a sentence or paragraph.

Second thing first, for those who DO know me, please do not take offense or become enraged about my personal feelings. I've been down that road when I was the proud owner of an extremely active Livejournal account, which was quite some time ago. I'm sure at some point, this blog will contain some pretty personal situations, which will in turn have pretty personal opinions and thoughts about said people in said situations, so if you think something is about you, then it probably is.... Sorry!.....not really. Got a problem with it, then you can play soccer with the Flintstones.... get it? kick rocks?

Third thing first, all of my music and ideas that will appear on this blog have already been copywritten by the time it appears on here, so please don't try to steal my ideas and claim them as yours, because I'm handy enough with a computer to find you and sue the crap out of you, and I need money so don't fall victim ot being sued!

Well I suppose that is all for now, I'm not one for authority but I see I've written nothing but rules, so it's time to stop before I become any more hyprocitical than I already have been while writing this entry.
